Learning new things while creating an application go hand in hand. If you fully understand obj-c, you really just need to take the initiative to develop an application.

I get this question a lot so I created a recommended reading section on my site for reading. http://devinsheaven.com/recommend-reading/ For some beginner obj-c info, try http://cocoadevcentral.com/. Apple's documentation and demo projects are always a great source of information too especially when you are learning the ropes.

I like daringfireball.net. Always some good insight there.

Of course, the iPhone. Don't sleep on the palm pre even though it's pretty much MIA. Android is just terrible.

Ummm, ask.fm looks like a complete rip off of Formspring. :-(

Na, the best camera app is camera . You should get that app. I'll have to talk to my TapTapTap friends to see what will happen with the app.

I'd probably need a MacBook pro. I couldn't develop iPhone applications without it.
-
I just recently discovered Everybody Hates Chris (Rock). The cut scenes are hilarious.

The day tiles can't be customized. You might have to create your own implementation or subclass to do that.
-
The short answer: Yes. I'd like to get my hands on an iPhone 4 to test it myself first...
-
Look into implementing 'UILongPressGestureRecognizer' on the tile layer. For every touch, a began and ended is always called, so the time in between, the gesture is holding too.

Hopefully gasoline, coal and nuclear power.

You are probably having trouble linking to properly, just drag the need files into your xcode project if you can.
