While there will always be incidents in my life that I'm not exactly happy about and that I sometimes wish to forget (or undo if it were possible), those thoughts are just an initial reflex to unfortunate situations; in reality, I don't think that anything should be undone or forgotten, regardless how miserable. Our mistakes are part of what we are, our past has contributed to who we are now, and the present shapes our future self. Undoing mistakes and the like would take away from the challenge life poses, lessen our sense of responsibility, warp our human core and disrupt the learning experience. I think it is precisely because we know that we cannot rewind time and that second chances don't always exist that we are more conscious of our actions, words and decisions, and choose them with great care; similarly, unfortunate happenings beyond our control are a constant reminder of our transience, and that our consciousness is not the only one there is in this world.

That said, I would choose the former.

Yes, I have - for some reason, I'd rather not use a pretty image if the character depicted on it is unknown to me, and, well, I guess there just isn't much art depicting characters and series that I do like...? Thanks for the suggestion though!
