I think i shared my sentiments on that on twitter. I found it utterly ridiculous. Indian culture for some reason has become the go to cool exotic one. This video is shamelessly exploiting that. The song has got nothing to do with the stuff being shown. It is nonsensical. I wasn't even aware of Iggy before I came across this video. It is puerile. I would like to hear your thoughts on it though.

Your prep will depend on the institute you are trying for. Apart from the fact that you should have a basic knowledge about film language and aesthetic you have to find out as much as you can about the kind of questions that usually come in the entrance exams.Go to their website, search online about the kind of questions you should be preaparing for.Seek out a teacher or senior who is studying in your choice of insitute on facebook and ask them questions as they would know the finer details that just might come in handy. You can reach me here or mail me anytime(debiparna_chakraborty(at)yahoo(dot)com)..
Some times the websites upload previous years' papers a few days after the admission procedure starts.Look out for those. I remember one short note topic was about the LGBT community in India. So keep track of important social events happening around you and think critically about the films you are watching.Search for essays and texts you can find on them. Till the previous year there used to be a section of 20 one word answer questions. I had checked the site a day before the exam where they had mentioned that from this year onwards that would be replaced by a script writing question.
The questions are usually very different in JU and say in SRFTI or FTII or anywhere else you are thinking of.
Don't psyche yourself out no matter what. You have given other entrance exams I am sure, so use that knowledge to prepare for the film institute entrances as well.Confidently answer the questions. And I really will wish you get through, whoever you are.
Hope you had a great weekend too! :)

Hey no need to apologise!I would have loved it if there was someone who could help me out back then.I am enjoying myself a lot.I knew what I was getting into because I had Film Studies as my pass course while I did my UG (from JU only). But there are loads of people who are from other backgrounds over here. There are a few who are from other places altogether. You can always mail me if you need to.You should first make a list of what you want to do and then make a list of institutes who will offer that.
