good question. well, originally, I came in teaching English & Bible Classes at a Children's Home. And with the organization that I'll be working with when I head back out I'll be teaching English, building relationships, sharing about Jesus, & helping start churches. Overall, all the teaching & everything else I'm getting to do serve the greater purpose of making known the good news Jesus Christ in Thailand. I want to worship Christ with multitudes of Thai people around the throne of God in Heaven one day...

I prayed about it a bit, didn't really have a hard time deciding. I'm familiar with the Leviticus passage. Christians are no longer under the Old Testament Law. Paul breaks this down pretty thoroughly in Galatians 2 & 3. It's either all or nothing on perfect obedience to the law. Now, Christ fulfilled the whole law, gave us his righteousness as a gift, and now calls us to walk in holiness. So, our bodies are temples of The Holy Spirit, and my intention was to lift up Jesus Christ thru the tattoos that I did get. So any tattoo I get, def. want to funnel it through whether or not it will bring attention to Jesus Christ, and I've found that to be the case with the ones that I have.

Thanks for the question. I think it def. depends on if you're a guy or a girl. If you're a guy, I would encourage you to get to know her family/talk with her dad, let him know first where you're at before you let her know. And ask his permission to pursue a relationship with his daugher if this is something you're serious about.
But, I have a feeling this is a girl & not a guy, and in that case, I would encourage you not to go after him but wait for him to make that move. I
know that's difficult to hear, but I believe biblically the man is to be the pursuer & the woman is to be pursued. And you may think, "what if he
doesn't pursue me?" That's the difficult part of being interested in someone who isn't interested in you. I know how that feels. Painful. But keep looking to Jesus, lift this person up to Him in prayer, let The Lord know where your heart's at. Ask God to make Himself satisfying to you & to give you patience in this time. May you make the most of your singleness for his glory, & if He gifts you with a spouse, may you both run hard after Jesus together. Hope that helps a little bit. p.s. check out Passion & Purity by Elizabeth Elliot, she writes on this very topic in the book & handles it much better than I did here.

Hmmm. good question....(in no order) maybe...Moo from Thailand, Jack & Klint from Texas, & John & Brandon from Michigan. Gotten to spend some good time with those dudes. They're crazy for Jesus.

lol. yeah for sure. Honestly, still do. It usually comes when I hear some false teaching about Jesus or something. Or when I get frustrated over my sin. So, I'm most definitely still a work in progress.

It is pretty crazy to think about. I don't know that it's ever freaked me out. I want to full on embrace the fact that the arms of Jesus are strong enough & stretched out far enough to catch me when my time here on this world is up. And so I do look forward to that day where he will wipe each tear from my eyes, though much about it is unknown to me. All I know is that He knows, and that's enough for me. Thanks for the reminder of heaven :)

good question. That was something I also said before I left, that there's great need in America & there's great need in Thailand. I felt strongly about moving for the 8 months prior to coming to Thailand, really out of the blue it seems. I couldn't get it off my heart, and so I did feel like it was something The Lord was moving me into. One thing is that, as far as the gospel goes, America has resources. And I would say Thailand is alot less resourced, gospel wise, than America. 99% of the population is unreached & does not trust Jesus Christ. And so much hope now is that Christ would use me to spread the fragrance of his gospel here in Thailand.
