The most recent ones I posted on my blog (http://toomuchtooyoungblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/religious-girls-milk-bar-san-francisco.html) were taken with a disposable with the flash on. They were actually quite underexposed and while I like to keep my film photos unedited, this set had cause for some slight editing to sharpen the images up and bright the subjects to light. Otherwise, I take photos with my Canon EOS Rebel S II (from the 1990s) and typically use 400 film with the camera's built-in flash. That's the only specifics I can give you because I don't know much else! The only thing I can think of is that I'm almost always up front at shows so I get pretty close and choose the right moments to take a shot (i.e. when the lights on stage momentarily brighten).

Thank you, for pretty much every sentence in this comment.

In regards to Guidance Counselor, I have seen them live! It was in SF back in late October and I have yet to post the couple of pictures I have from that set. And in regards to Portland, heck yes, I'll be going there next week! I've never been there before but I'm going with the greatest and bestest company; we'll be seeing Guidance Counselor again, too, while we're there! I really really cannot wait and I will surely take many many pictures of the trip.

I've thought about this many a-time so I think it's inevitable that I start making videos. I just don't know what I want to document and in what manner I want to do it in. I've thought about just recording a few seconds/minutes of random bits when there's something particularly interesting going on and making an amalgam of these clips. Perhaps that's good enough to start with and I can work my way into something more substantial later on. Anyways, thank you for the kind words and for your interest and support!! I super appreciate it.

I'm not sure. I would like to "do more" with my photos if I knew what "more" is. Sometimes I think of having photoshoots or sessions with other people who like to take photos but I don't really know anybody who'd be into it. All in due time, I think.

I'm not too much of a dessert person; I usually stuff myself during the dinner course so by the time dessert is in the question, I'm way too delusional from overeating to even think about it (yep, I have a bad habit of getting way too full). Also, desserts are usually too rich and sweet for me so if I can muster up some more hunger to have dessert, I typically take a couple of bites and am done. On rare occasions I will order creme brulee because it's so damn delicious. And ice cream I can eat all day. I've had ice cream for breakfast, for dinner...yum yum yum.

I read a lottttt of blogs (my Google Reader detects 465 subscriptions, yikes!). I found out about mypetsquare from liebemarlene (http://www.liebemarlene.com) and Kling on Here Comes the Sun (http://amanda-thomas.blogspot.com). I find out about designers from random style blogs, photography blogs, designers' blogs (like Vain and Vapid's blog)...pretty much everywhere!

I wish! I have yet to see them live. I found them on Flickr, you can go back to the post and click the photos for the sources.

I'm afraid I can't help you much on the second part of your question since I just point and shoot! My ISO is usually just sent to 400 but I need to study my manual to actually figure out how to work my camera settings. I usually just go for it. Despite how many pictures I take daily, I really know nothing about the technicalities involved. I'll learn, though, I'll learn.

      Good luck!

Yes, I do. But I like to share certain things so it's very rare that I actually venture out specifically to take photos of myself. Now go and waste your afternoon and tell the other 216541545123 fashion bloggers out there the exact same thing.

      Haha, well, COME ON OVER.

And to your question: I'd say no because I hate being photographed (it just makes me uncomfortable) but I suppose if the right opportunity came along, I'd take it.

It was during Mervyn's going-out-of-business sale a while ago, haha. But you should be able to find a similar one at thrift stores if you've got the thrifting patience!

Haha, almost never. I always forget and it's always after the sunburn where I remember that I have to apply some. Whoops.

Great, thank you! It's tiny, primarily sells science fiction and romance novels (both genres that I don't read), and I only work there one day a week but my co-worker pretty much makes the job for me. Also, when I do get the rare customer who's into contemporary fiction (the genre that I typically stick my nose in), I get super excited and happy :) Any chance to talk books!

Straight black, yum yum! And I don't blame you for looking forward to coffee and cigarettes, it's a cliche for a reason (it's damn good!). I don't endorse it but I wholly understand. Good luck on that front!

I use a Canon PowerShot SX110 IS. It's a little point and shoot and it works great for outdoor photos. Indoor photos are a bit grainy.
