I was going home for thanksgiving...or so I thought...
Had a 6pm Friday night direct flight from Madison, WI to Newark, NJ. The flight was delayed 3 hours and ultimately canceled and rescheduled for 6am the next morning.
The 6am connecting flight flew to Milwaukee. We landed, it started snowing, the airport was shut down because a plane skid off the runway, and I had to take a taxi all the way back to Madison, WI.
Needless to say, I did not make it back to New Jersey that weekend for thanksgiving. -
