if you're a hard worker then i don't see a problem with h&m as a first job! you would be a sales associate; that's the only position there (besides managerial ones).

if i'm shopping online, it's almost exclusively at asos.com or ebay. i'll also browse opening ceremony or shopbop because they have really good sales sometimes.

well, i wear mine in the snow all the time and they're okay. they're kind of beat up, but it's like the look of "ruined" docs anyway :) if you're concerned though, you can always spray 'em with leather protective spray!

i don't think i'd buy shoes from gojane because i tend to save my money and buy a "good" quality pair of shoes....
don't get me wrong, i've bought my fair share of shitty pleather shoes from like urban planet and ioffer (lol), but it's just NOT worth it for me to spend money on stuff that falls apart within a few wears.

but like, if you're on a budget and are looking for trendy styles, there are a lot of options on gojane that are similar to -designer- shoes!! so if you just want them to have them, by all means DO IT!

a few days isn't a long time! january is a super slow month anyway; i honestly doubt they're (seriously) looking to hire.

i got hired in july, and only had to wait about 12 hours for a phone call. it's really all about timing, though :)

ooo denim, this is so tricky for me! i'd either do the denim on denim thing with a contrasting denim button-up...and silver jewelery, a leather jacket, and block-heeled boots. OR i'd do a sequined top, a big chunky cardigan and a patterned scarf on top. and docs or something.
