you kidding me, you did me a huge favour, these dudes actually have no idea what they're even talking about. the hate can be annoying, but i almost find it funny sometimes that these people are putting themselves out to be made into fools by talking total rubbish. and whatever, im never one to back down from a challenge. but i think by now ive said enough that if they care to read through it and actually understand it, theyll realise that their indignant little whinges have already been made redundant.

your naivety astounds me. "this competition should be judged on talent alone"?? the very idea of votes negates a competition being judged on talent ALONE. the person with the most votes gets through to the final, the other 2 finalists are picked by Mapex judges, based on talent, its that simple. for the competition to have to be based SOLELY on talent, it would have to be either ENTIRELY judge-based OR based on votes from unbiased 3rd parties, who all have some kind of musical knowledge. which it is clearly not. im sure you're smart enough to realise that 98% of the voters on the page are probably not other drummers, but are in fact the friends of the contestants. thats just the way the world works. dont try to make it sound as if Monica Dimasi has gained her votes without help from her friends, because she has, as have all the other contestants, myself included. and there is nothing wrong with that. and you know this, because you're probably her friend and you probably promoted votes for her too. which is not a problem in my books, and i dont see why it should be any of your business who helps me get votes, and there is absolutely no reason why i should have to justify myself to you, or take any of your opinions on who "can" and "cant" help me.

also, Lucy Doan is not my girlfriend, she's actually my best mate's girlfriend, and therefore is more comparable to a sister-in-law. jus sayin.

when it comes down to it, yeah, i did push hard for votes, just like Monica, because i wanted to increase my chances of a shot of getting into the finals. this competition offers an opportunity that i didnt want to miss out on. i take my future prospects of a possible music career very seriously, and my friends know this and support me hugely, so they tried to help me out.
The difference between you and me is, i or my friends are not anonymously giving the other contestants a 'piece of our minds', and trying to make them feel guilty for trying hard at something they love. its not necessary, and in fact it's rude and immature.
if Monica Dimasi gets into the finals and i dont...good on her, she pulled some big votes in the last few days so good for her. if we both get in, then hey let the best man/woman win. i would love more than anything to win this competition, and i know without a doubt that i could do a damn good job of repping Mapex both in germany and as an endorsee, but if i miss out, whether it be due to votes, or due to the judges choice, ill survive, and im not gonna be the guy bitterly messaging the other contestants to hassle them about what's "fair". I'll leave that to you.

1) its not as though i went round asking random bloggers to promote my votes. to whom it may concern, Lucy Doan is actually a good friend of mine who wanted to help me out. her helping me is no different to any of the other contestants asking their friends to help them get votes. what do you expect me to do, say "you are too popular and you will be able to get me votes, therefore i DONT want your help??". seriously, think about that idea for a second.
