Good question! We have desks that cover certain areas of UNC/Chapel Hill (University, City, State/National, Arts and Sports), and these desks come up with story ideas based on talking with sources, tips we get via e-mail, things we see around town, etc. Because we're a University paper, a lot of what we look to cover are things related to the school and it's impact throughout the town.
