hahaha If I had the money to buy you a pony, you bet I would! (Not that I know who you are....)

I'm pretty willing to try just about anything once (as long as it's meat-free because I'm a vegetarian) but it's hard to say what was weirdest. I've had some pretty strange Ethiopian food though, although probably not anything I could identify.

I can't say I'm the best person to tackle this question, but I'll give it the ol' college try! I think persistence is key when it comes to blogging. Blog often, have fun with it, find your voice and blog about things you really love. Keep it authentic, keep it true to you (whatever the topic might be) and the readers will follow. With design I think it's one of those things where, to an extent, if you don't use it you lose it. Sketch, keep clippings of photos you love (whether they be of interiors, parties, paper goods, etc.) and practice as often as you can. Most designers only get better with time! Try new things and remember no idea is too crazy, that might just be the idea that makes your vision come to life. With that said, I have a long way to go to be as good as I hope to be when I'm through so I'll heed my own advice and keep practicing. ;-)

Hmmm. This is a tough question. I think my hardest food admission is just how addicted I am to sweets. I am hopelessly and completely in love with sugar. I hate it because I know it's dreadfully unhealthy, but I can't help but love them. Sweet beats savory any day in my world. I am lucky, however, that I love most all fruits and veggies so I'm not a total loss. But being a vegetarian with a sweet tooth means, if I could let myself get away with it, I'd be content to eat cake all day long. Not a good idea. A lot of people seem surprised when I tell them that ice cream is my all-time favorite food. When I was super heavy (as in like 280lbs) I had gotten fat on sweets, not on burgers and bacon and fries. (In fact, I don't like any of that stuff and don't eat it ever.) So yeah. Sweets. I have a very weird love/hate relationship with sweets and likely always will.

I'm going to invent a super power and say that I'd love to be able to control time. Sometimes I just need more hours in the day to get all of the ideas and plans and projects I have swirling around in my head out on paper...or "on Macbook" as the case may be.

I was already incredibly good friends with a lot of bloggers and had been blogging for years before I landed my current job. It is actually what inspired me to change professional directions and ultimately led me to where I am today. From there, I had to decide how much of my two worlds I wanted to merge and ultimately it seemed most appropriate to embrace my personal connections in the professional realm. My job is so much more than a "job" - one could go so far as to say that I am truly living the dream. I find that becoming friends with people through work or, on the flip side, finding ways to make my friendships a part of my professional world only makes both more rewarding. As you may have noticed, there is little division between my working and private worlds and at some point that was a conscious decision. (As it turns out, I am a letterpress-loving blog-writing fanatic all day every day.) When you're passionate about something and you're doing what you love, it's rewarding beyond belief. It still amazes me that my life is my life. I'm incredibly lucky and profoundly grateful.

A few years ago I ended an incredibly long (7+ years), meaningful, serious relationship with my ex, the process of which was nearly crippling. There were so many reasons it was the right thing to do and so many reasons I thought for sure it would kill me. As I expected, life has never been quite the same since as a lot of other ties with people I cared deeply for were broken in the process of moving on. With that said, I never expected I'd come out of it so amazingly happy, so brilliantly sure of who I am, where I am going and who I want to be. It is undoubtedly the best decision I've ever made and the hardest thing I've ever done and I'd do it again in a heartbeat to end up where I am today.

Ok, so in general I am definitely not someone who thinks much about celebrities. With that said, my husband can attest to my huge crush on Michael Buble. He's amazingly talented and absolutely brilliant in concert - I adore him.

I can't say I find myself nearly talented enough to do such a thing even if I wanted to, but I do have a dream of owning an incredible stationery store filled to the brim with the creations of my favorite stationers. I'd bring my dog to work with me and I think I'd sell delicious cupcakes, too. Cupcakes and stationery. Does it get a whole lot better? I think not.

When I have the chance for real "me" time it generally involves a glass of wine, a long bath and a good book. Alternate scenarios involve chick flick date nights on the couch with my dog and baking something new just for the hell of it.

Sweets! I shouldn't but I do, far more often than I'd like. A nice glass of wine and a yummy dessert makes a lot of things better in my world.

I am obsessed with HGTV, I'm a Food Network junkie and I've seen every episode of Project Runway a good two or three times. I also admit to being a compulsive Gossip Girl fan. My love for Chuck Bass knows no bounds. My friends make fun of me for being horribly behind on movies (they're right) because truth is, I'm usually more interested in stuffing my nose in a book. With that said, I recently saw 500 Days of Summer and adored it and I can't get enough of the good girly classics like Beaches and Dirty Dancing. And anything with Johnny Depp.

I have sadly not yet learned how to print, but it's on my to-do list for 2010. Even without having done it yet, I can tell you it's WAY more complicated than most people can imagine. I was able to be there while our wedding invitations were printed and it still blows my mind the love, care and attention that goes into fine letterpress printing. I'm in constant awe of the pressmen who print for us - they are insanely talented. I think the most number of inks I've ever seen on one job was actually a really cool 6-color letterpress business card where the company had a multi-color logo and wanted all of the color incorporated in their cards. In every day life, 3 is the most ink colors most people would use.

I'm not sure I have a specific pair I love most, but if I could live in great yoga pants I probably would. In the summer my uniform is cute dresses and Old Navy flip flops. In the winter it's jeans, cardigans and boots or flats. Of course, as soon as I'm home it's all about the yoga pants.

I draw inspiration from a lot of places, but interesting little details are really what get me inspired. I definitely still draw a lot of inspiration from architecture, interiors, and architectural details and love pattern, color and typography. I love photography and really find myself inspired by photographers who capture tiny details in beautiful ways, things you might ordinarily overlook. Nature is also a huge inspiration to me - I grew up on the water so the water, flowers, trees are all things I can get visually lost in daydreaming. It sounds a bit cheesy to say, but I'm a firm believer that inspiration is everywhere if you keep your mind and your eyes open.

There is one answer to this question - the kitchen! Redoing a kitchen is kind of a dream come true, but it sort of feels like Pandora's box to me, too. Kitchens can be expensive, for one. But I love to cook and bake - I spend a LOT of time in the kitchen - so I also kind of worry that it'll be hard for me to make decisions lest I should regret them later. In a way, I can't wait to dream up the kitchen of my dreams, albeit on a budget. In another way I sort of wish the kitchen were just done already so I could just get in there and cook up a storm and not have to think too hard about it...Have I convinced you I'm totally crazy yet? ;-) Generally speaking, the master bedroom is always a favorite project. I've had a lifelong obsession with bedrooms and bedding so creating a serene little nest where I can start and end my day is always exciting to me. And this time it will be ours, not a rental! It's almost more excitement than I can stand. :-)

My job officially entails handling the marketing/PR for Bella Figura, our sister company Smock and our parent company Boxcar Press. This translates to blogging, writing, addressing press inquiries, coordinating our advertising, assisting with product development and serving on our unofficial "cool ideas" team among many other things. We're a small company so my role is flexible, inspiring and a whole lot of fun. It literally changes every day in some small way and I love getting to work with the people I work with doing what we do.
I actually stumbled upon my job in a crazy way. I had won a contest on Weddingbee for Bella Figura wedding invitations (nominated by my best friend) and was psyched when I won (!!) and realized Bella was local to me. Naturally, I had to go visit! While I was there, I fell madly in love and nearly died when I found out they were looking to fill a position that seemed perfect for me. One thing led to another and I've been living the dream for the last year. And it all started with blogging. Go figure!
While I don't do any printing, I love being in the print shop. There is nothing like the smell of paper and ink in the morning and I did get front row seats when our wedding invitations were printed. My lists of goals for 2010 includes getting my hands dirty and finally learning how to print. -
Honestly, I'm surprised to say that the answer to this question is simply "no." There were a lot of things about the world of architecture that fit me to a T, but in general I found it very stifling, too formal. I love going to work in jeans and getting to share unrestricted ideas and creativity with the awesome team I work with. Plus, I'm a hopeless romantic so the wedding industry and I just get along. Sometimes it still makes me shake my head with disbelief that my architecture degree and MBA landed me in the wedding/stationery industry, but most of the time I just know I am exactly where I was supposed to be all along. It's a perfect blend of my talents, my interests, my passions and my dreams. I love waking up in the morning and going to work. Not too many people can say that!

95% of the time, no. It's time consuming, but I blog because I genuinely love it so it's truly an enjoyable process for me to hunt down things to blog about. However, there are days when I am tired, busy, unmotivated or just plain ol' uninspired and then it can be difficult to blog. I intentionally avoid blogging on the weekends so I can take a couple of days a week to myself without feeling like I have to write posts. By the end of the weekend, I'm usually ready to spend Sunday night writing posts for the upcoming week. When we're moving in a few weeks, it's probably going to be a bit more difficult. We'll see how it plays out!

So many things! My family, my husband, my dog and the way she snuggles with me in the morning after my husband gets out of bed. Dark coffee, dry white wine, friends, sitting by the lake, good books, print magazines (online mags are great, but it's just not the same), my job, the amazing opportunity I have to connect with friends old and new via blogging/Twitter every day. Traveling, exploring, hiking, photographing, singing and dancing. Among many many other things.
