I'm glad you liked them! Here's the recipe.

      Chocolate and Peanut Cookies

      Ingredients (makes 30)
      1 cup rolled oats
1 cup unsalted peanuts (crushed or whole)
1 cup small dark chocolate pieces
      3/4 cup plain flour
      1/4 tsp baking powder
      1/2 tsp salt
      150g softened unsalted butter
      1 cup brown sugar
      1 tsp vanilla extract
      1 egg
      3 tsp milk

      Method:
      1. Preheat oven to 160 C / 320 F and line trays with baking paper
      2. Combine flour, baking powder, oats and salt in a bowl, set aside.
      3. Put butter, brown sugar, and vanilla into a large mixing bowl and beat until thick and pale.
      4. Add egg and milk, beat, and then fold in the flour and oat mix. Then fold in chocolate and peanuts.
      5. Put the mixture in the fridge until it has firmed up a little (about 30 mins)
      5. Put level tablespoons of mixture onto each baking tray, leaving plenty of space in between.
      6. Bake for 10 - 15 minutes.

i think if you won/donated and you lived in sydney then i would ask you to trust me that i have the most PERFECT place picked out and that the experience of us dining there would be so so much better / more ridiculous if you were to walk down those stairs with absolutely no idea what you were in for. obvs this perfect place would be subject to change based on your likes/dislikes.

no brand-new indie artists are coming to mind, lately i've mostly been listening to majors like the new records from LP, fiona apple and missy higgins. but generally speaking, my favourite music for maintaining personal space on public transport is by holly miranda (solo or w/ the jealous girlfriends), bertie blackman, the cold war kids, and sia - check them out if you haven't done so before.

i would really, really love to create some artist-specific playlists, however the streaming service we currently use (8tracks) doesn't allow us to include more than two songs from the same artist in a playlist. it's a licensing thing, i think. i'm looking into other options, spotify maybe.

I imagine that in the early 2000s everyone had grown bored of hating on Creed and Coldplay just happened to be the nearest and easiest new target. I don't really know why it's a thing - I'm not particularly excited by their music however I don't find it offensive, either..

      hi! here are some ideas:

      a) read as many tattoo magazines and tattoo books as you can get your hands on (some of the larger book stores have tattoo book/mag collections). If you can't find any then look at the websites of tattoo magazines. Inked magazine's website is pretty great, it has a huge database of artists, studios and tattoo conventions, and you can search by location - http://freshlyinked.inkedmag.com/

      b) google 'best tattoo artists in [city]' - at the very least you'll probably find some forums in which people talk about their favorite artists in your area and link to their portfolios.

      c) a lot of really great artists attend tattoo expos/conventions, so going to one is a good idea. If there's no expo in your city then visit their websites - the names, studios and locations of the artists appearing are usually listed, so it's just a matter of going down the list of names and googling each one to find their online portfolio. It can take hours to go through the lists but it worked for me, that's how I eventually found Ivana.

      good luck!
