Crystal - In Charlotte I loved loved loved El Pulgarcito, an El Salvador/Honduras restaurant my friend Maria introduced me to. I've had several things on the menu, all of which are delicious, but my favorite thing to get for lunch or dinner is their simple "breakfast"... 2 fried eggs, a few slices of avocado, a chunk of white cheese, a few fried plaintains, and a big pool of their delicious refried beans and a big pool of their equally delicious sour cream. :) Other times I love Rusan's Lunch Buffett and Luna's Living Kitchen Buckwheat bowl.
Ben - In Charlotte, Fuel Pizza. Every time. It's always my only request.
In Wilmington, we both love Flaming Amy's Burrito Barn, Flaming Amy's Bowl, and Nikki's Downtown. -
Crystal - This is all across the board for me. If I can, I like to let myself wake up naturally. Sometimes I wake up after 6 hours of sleep and I'm fine, and other times I'll sleep right on for about 10 hours without waking up and then feel really guilty for the rest of the day, even though I obviously needed it.
Ben - I'm a night owl, so I regularly don't get to bed until the wee hours of the morning. I also like a lot of sleep, so of course I sleep in when I can until anywhere between 11 and 1 and the cycle continues. Crystal is most productive in the morning, I am most productive after 10pm. -
I guess I would have to say the 70-200 2.8. When I am shooting just any kind of regular portrait session with one, maybe two people, I will often keep this lens on for a good 75% of the session. I really only prefer the 50 1.4 when I'm doing close-up headshots, or more than 2 people. I think I probably use my 50mm and 24 2.8 (which most people wouldn't consider a "portrait" lens but I love it, especially for toddlers) for the other 25%.

Of course we photograph vow renewals. I think it's definitely a great opportunity to get those "wedding" portraits you might not have gotten in the past, or to update them if it's been a while since you and your loved ones have had portraits. Alternately, a love session photo shoot is always fun too just to get fresh fun pics of the two of you!

Hmmm... it took a while, but i'm actually pretty happy with the way i look and if i were to look like anyone else, it would probably be to just look more like the people i've been told that i resemble... kate moss or julianne moore. if i could just have much thicker hair, i think i'd be perfect just the way i am:)

crystal - The best concert I ever went to was probably my very first concert. I was a freshman in high school and my senior friend invited me to a Phish concert 2 hours away. It was my first concert, as well as the first time I ever stayed in a hotel without an adult... of course we had a party in the room after the concert with the random people we had met. It stormed (badly) during the whole concert, but they kept playing. I was crouched down in fear of being struck by lightning, while everyone else was jumping in the air. Lightning was hitting flag poles and sparks were flying. It was definitely one whole experience I will never forget!
ben - Probably one I went to in high school in Fayetteville called Left Out (they weren't the headliners and I don't even remember who was). It was my first mosh pit experience. There were tons of people there and a lot of marines but everyone was really friendly and helpful, unlike some mosh pits I've been in since. -
ben - wired. it means i would have done something cool:)
crystal - w. the photo spreads in the back of the mag of the person on the cover are always so awesome. -
crystal - I think I'd rather be a famous musician. When I watch movies, I don't think about how awesome their lives must be when the movie is over. However, anytime I'm at a concert, during the whole show I analyze the people on stage and I'm amazed by their strong personalities that the musicians seem to exude on stage (sometimes they show such confidence, but other times you can tell that the people have stage fright but their passion drives them onward)and it makes me a little jealous that I was never even in a high school rock band.
ben - i'd rather be a famous musician because i'd rather be able to write my own material. -
crystal - i had a repeat dream last night. it was wildflower season and the flowers were huge and so colorful and EVERYWHERE and I kept picking more and more even though I knew I was going to be sneezing and itching for the next week!

I am a morning person all the way and Ben is a night person all the way. I like getting up before 8am most days and Ben prefers going to bed after 5am. Completely opposite!
