I don't think there's anything I could choose as the *only* book I'd ever read. I'd eventually tire of whatever I chose.

My longest car ride in one stint isn't that long. Birmingham to Tomintoul. 9 hours or so.
I've had a long coach trip, Middlesbrough to Lourdes. That was broken up by a couple of hours on the ferry, however. -
Try get back to sleep. If I need the loo, I go. If I'm thirsty I get water. If I really can't sleep, I read.

Guardian, Andrew Sullivan's blog, lifehacker. I'm old school and use google reader to scan for new content. The book of faces, although it's rare I access that via a web browser.

Too many to choose. I love witch-hazel, because it's winter fragrant.
I love hellebores, because they mean spring is on its way.
I also love eryngiums, for their gorgeous spiky shape and fantastic colours. -
