As someone relatively new to the game do you feel the internet community has been more welcoming than expected? Also, what are some other small new movie sites (like yourselves) worth following?
Ryan: I have been pleasantly surprised by the positive response to our podcast and blog so far. It certainly took a while to build up the courage to put myself out there for public scrutiny. While we are still in the shallow end of the pool when it comes to the size of our listenership/readership, I haven't had any negative experiences, no comment trolls, no jerky e-mails, no twitter feuds. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can keep this, although I am constantly told that one hasn't made it in this space until they get their first hate mail.
As far as other movie sites to follow, I'm always finding new and exciting blogs that I add to my bookmarks/rss reader. Although, I like every other geek has become addicted to Twitter. While it doesn't lend itself to in depth reviews/reporting, it is an incredibly easy and accessible platform for sharing movie news and thoughts. I'm working on a fixed page on the blog where we can share links to our favorite blogs and podcasts, so look for that soon.
