Personally, I LOVE (CC #265) Robert Altman's SHORT CUTS set. Simply because it comes with the collection of short stories by Raymond Carver. Plus the film is exceptionally rewarding. - Rudie!

Chungking Express is a really good intro to WKW. It covers all of his themes he uses, stylistically consistent with his body of work and is a lot of fun!

Well, according to the box office dollars, James Cameron's Avatar is the best movie EVER!!!

As part of Scorsese's new era (IE films starring Leonardo DiCaprio), I'd say, Shutter Island is his best! Probably the best film he's made in the last 10 years. -Rudie!

Travis: Those are the only two I am readily-familiar with. I feel like this guy is probably my real father, though. All will be revealed.

Travis: Double Take
-
Travis: Silents are consistently my favorites, I'd say -- I enjoy the limitations of their presentation, and the many ways in which this limitation can be harnessed to an advantage.
The Coming-of-Age genre presents the most frequent roadblocks for me. Something about minors and sex just breaks my heart on a deeper level.
...And honestly, I have never watched more than one or two Anime films in my entire life. I surmise that there have to be at least a handful with some really fascinating story lines, but I just don't really know where to start. -
Travis: I really couldn't say what my favorite movie was at age five. I'd imagine it was one of those Ninja Turtle VHS tapes that were sold at Burger King.
Age ten, it was either Jurassic Park or The Mask
Age fifteen, probably Monty Python and the Holy Grail -
Travis: White Dog is so, so, so, so awesome.
