Thank you, James! Happy New Year! (And I added some more appearances about a week or two ago, so there's your late Christmas present!)
-
Yes, I'll keep chipping away at it as I read and have the time. Unfortunately I'm very busy with other projects and have at least 2 to-read stacks with a great variety of stuff to read (not just New Warriors-related or even Marvel-related). But when I have downtime, I still enjoy doing it.
-
I'm not sure when you looked last but I haven't updated it in a couple of months.
-
Toy Story 3 is actually a government test to do determine who does and who doesn't have a soul. If you notice a white van parked outside, now you know why.
-
I knew about Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt, but I don't think I knew there were Warriors in Vengeance. So, noted, thank you.
-
Um... puking on my face?
-
On the back of my left upper arm. It's a circle. Kind of boring, really.
-
Those ice cream dibbler thingies. But I like to finish eating by the time the movie starts so I don't look down and miss something.
-
Yes, I've seen that, thank you. I've caught up with Nova, except for Thanos Imperative, and Avengers: Initiative, and updated the site with those. Young Allies is in my to-read pile. And Fantastic Four/FF is on my to-buy list.
-
I am mostly reading Marvel stuff in trades these days, and some on the Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited service. So I am 6-12 months behind but as I read relevant stuff, I am quietly updating it.
Regarding the glass of water, you are assuming a level of clumsiness that is probably entirely accurate. Some days, I'm amazed I can remain balanced on my chair. -
I see the glass as half-full. Half-full of $#!%!
Shaboingle!
I usually look on the half-full side of things but there are definitely days where it feels more than half-empty. -
Oh sure, plenty. I'm kind of a sap, really. I cried at the end of Toy Story 3.
If you want to steal my lunch money, I'll totally understand. -
That's easy. A meal of desserts: ice cream, apple pie, brownies, cookies, cake. And water.

My real favorites are pretty obscure, which is probably one of the reasons why I love them. The New Warriors were what sold me on superhero comics, so I would go with one of them - probably Namorita because of her sarcasm and political activism but also maybe Speedball because of his outright goofiness.
Of the recognizable characters, I would probably with Spider-Man. If I could pick superhero team instead of individual superhero, I would go with X-Men - such a brilliant concept for reader identification.
Favorite supervillain would probably be Magneto. -
I would love to have John Lennon back and see how he would continue to evolve.
-
See my answer to the Favorite Actor question for my cop-out as to why I don't have one person.
As an actor and performer, there are plenty that I enjoy and are or have been either influenced or inspired by, usually based on specific performances. So, I'll list some of those, although this is by no means exhaustive.
Gilda Radner (Saturday Night Live), Carol Burnett (The Carol Burnett Show, Annie), Madeline Kahn (Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein), Julie Hagerty (Airplane! & Airplane II), Cheetara, Lily Tomlin (9 to 5, Saturday Night Live), Lucille Ball (I Love Lucy), Portia de Rossi (Arrested Development, Better Off Ted), Jaime Pressly (My Name is Earl). -
I've been agonizing over this and the Favorite Actress question for days. After therapy bills, counseling, support groups, 12-step programs and self-help books, I guess I just have to cop to the fact that I just don't have a favorite. It fees like weaseling out but it's the truth. There's no one actor or actress that I just love to no end.
But as an actor and performer, there are plenty that I enjoy and are or have been either influenced or inspired by, usually based on specific performances. So, I'll list some of those, although this is by no means exhaustive.
Peter Sellers (Pink Panther series, Dr. Strangelove, and his appearance on The Muppet Show), Gene Wilder (Young Frankenstein, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory), Jim Henson (Kermit & other characters in various Muppet shows and movies), Mel Blanc (Bugs Bunny & other characters in various Looney Tunes/Warner Bros. cartoons), Robert Hays (Airplane! and Airplane II), Leslie Nielson (Police Squad, Airplane! and Airplane II), Rick Moranis (Ghostbusters, Little Shop of Horrors, Spaceballs), Jim Carrey (physical comedy from early to mid '90s stuff), Steve Carell (Little Miss Sunshine), Andy Samberg (SNL Digital Shorts). And Optimus Prime. -
Questions don't get much more epic than this. This is the biggie, people.
Look, if Archie can't decide...
Actually, this one is pretty easy to me. Betty Cooper. I mean, her mom is named Alice Cooper. Alice Cooper! How could you pass up that opportunity? Every time we visited their parents, I would see how many song references and references to biting the head of a chicken I could work into casual conversation.
Plus, who needs Veronica's drama? Too spoiled. -
Is this one of those trick genies where your wish backfires because you weren't incredibly specific enough? Pretending for a moment it's not, I would probably be pretty standard in the wish department:
1. Greater empathy and understanding among humans (world peace, etc.).
2. A bottomless bin of money (like Scrooge McDuck).
3. A tail. Yes, an actual tail like a cat's tail. I have no idea why but they fascinate me and seem like fun. But now I sound like a furry, so maybe that's a bad idea. Plus it would probably get in the way a lot and all of my pants would have to be modified. Maybe a detachable tail. But it has to actually move around and stuff. Pinning to my butt a long string that does nothing wouldn't cut it.
