you posted something a while ago about being a Satanist. Were you serious? If so, please explain?

I was being 100% serious. I first learned about Satanism from my boyfriend, who didn't tell me about his beliefs until about 4 or 5 months into our relationship. When he told me "I'm a Satanist" my first thought was "WHAT? HIM? REALLY? BUT HE'S SOOO FUCKING NICE AND CARING AND WTF ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" But he didn't give me time to really "react" before he began to explain what he meant by Satanism, because he was afraid I would automatically jump to conclusions about all of the stereotypes and images of Satanism that have been projected to society for so long. And honestly, at first I WAS a tad bit creeped out by the thought, but once he started telling me more about it, my mind opened up. I asked him if I could borrow his copy of Anton LeVey's Satanic Bible to learn and understand more.
There are two types of Satanism, Theistic and Atheistic. Theistic Satanists look at Satan as a person or deity in which they worship. Luciferianism is a part of Theistic Satanism, and is mostly responsible for the stereotypes and bad names that Satanists are given today because of the fact that the original Luciferians conducted sacrifices and rituals that consisted of black magic.
Atheistic Satanists look at Satan as a representation of a way of life and human traits. LaVeyan Satanism is a stem of Atheistic Satanism, which is what I practice. LaVeyan Satanists basically truly and wholey believe in the phrase "live life to the fullest". They don't believe in "sins", because if you look at it, most "sins" are acts that make you feel GOOD as a human being. We take pride in self-indulgence and live by the "eye for an eye" phrase. We don't believe "do unto others as you would want them to do unto you" but "do unto others as they have done unto you". religioustolerance.org refers to LeVeyan Satanism as a "small religious group that is unrelated to any other faith, and whose members feel free to satisfy their urges responsibly, exhibit kindness to their friends, and attack their enemies".

So, no, I don't drink blood, am not violent towards animals or innocent people, do not put down those around me with different religious beliefs, do not worship the "devil", or light fire to churches. I simply respect those who respect me and other people's ways of life, don't worry about if what I'm doing is morally wrong when it feels RIGHT to me, and have lots of sex whenever I feel like it, hehe.

When I first picked up the Bible, I wasn't looking to convert to Satanism or even follow it's beliefs. But once I started reading it, I found it difficult to NOT say "EXACTLY!" outloud as I kept reading on. When I finished the Bible I felt a sense of relief and I was really excited to finally find something that fit my beliefs SO well. I realized that I had always believed in LeVeyan Satanism, even when I knew nothing about it. Because I was raised Catholic, I never delved into Satanism because I too just looked at and believed the stereotypes and images of death, sacrifice, self-mutilation, and the all around bad name society gave this belief system.
How could I then not want to follow this way of life when everything I had ever thought and believed in was right here in front of me in black and white on the rustic pages of this little Satanic Bible? I really am thankful that I opened my mind up to Satanism because, really, it makes me who I am. It's helped me through many dilemmas and the never ending drama that seems to pop up in my life.

I really hope this answered your question, and sorry if it's really long, but I didn't want you thinking the wrong thing or negatively about my beliefs without knowing what was truly going on. I hope I educated you a little bit and that you're open minded enough to be like "oh, okay, cool."
    :)
