I don't think we focus on guilt at Community of Faith. I think we strive to take the next step on our journey of faith. I am not sure how you hear each week about how you are falling short in life. I am sorry you feel that way. I'd be glad to talk with you more about the guilt and how we at COF can change that, but I'll need you to point out examples of the guilt.

There were women, see Luke 8. It is just they aren't listed in the 12. The Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts show us what a key and pivotal role women played in the movement of early Christianity. Definitely not the social norm of the day.

The Shack was pretty God. Did a decent or as good a job as I've seen in a while outlining the Trinity and God.

It means that humanity has the capacity to choose to do evil, to live their own way and not follow God. I think this is clearly evidenced by the fact that people choose to be Yankee fans! Why???? Because God allows us to choose even the evil in this world. God offers a choice because love can only be shown by choice. Love can not be forced.

Same as back then. Seek to love God and love our neighbor. The only way to truly do this is by following Jesus Christ and accepting his way in our lives.

That is one way of looking at it. Also anyone could have done it, not just Judas being destined for all time to do it. Actually all the disciples betrayed Jesus in some way or another: lied about him, denied him, ran from him.

That the Holy of Holies was open. The veil was torn from top to bottom signifying that God to earth did it. It means there is no longer a separation between us and God.

We should be in the world not of the world, is what the bible says. We need to interact with folks who live differently than us, but we should be light in their darkness, not allowing their darkness to snuff out our light.

The willingness to put the needs/wants/desires of someone else ahead of your own.

No, but when we start to become intimate with someone we need to set boundaries and limits that are consistent with who we are and who God calls us to be.
