As with most freelancers, it can totally vary. Some months next to nothing, others quite a bit if I have a few big jobs. My lifestyle is modest because I don't make a ton of money. That said, I'm still grateful I can afford to not have a 9-5 gig and set my own schedule (sleep in way too often).

Normally I'd say such a question is not particularly classy to ask or answer, however, considering there are thousands of people in situations roughly the same as my own, I'd be curious to know how other people are faring. I have a feeling I am probably not as "business-like" when it comes to finances as others may be. Full disclosure, last year I made in the $20k's via photo gigs, tho I do have small income from other things such as DJing and event production, which I plan to slowly phase out as I focus more and more on betting my photo career.
