Lets analyse this situation:
If you do nothing, you lose a chance to potentially get with the person you like, to maybe even form a relationship which is more than 'just friends'

If you do something, i.e. text him, talk to him, just make communication with him, you may in fact be building foundations for a relationship, and will be building his like up for you even more. If however, he doesn't reciprocate, i.e. doesn't text back, or just seems uninterested, then simply leave it, laugh, get back on your high horse, and go for someone even better.
