Have you ever made someone cry intentionally?
I don't think so! That'd be pretty damn mean!
-
If you could hang one protagonist from the Silent Hill series who would you hang with?
Heather is probably the least likely to murder me, so I'll go with her.
-
What is your relationship with the abyss?
Awkward. I keep staring at it, it keeps staring back at me. When will the abyss make a move, already??
-
Voidburger why you be a popular bitch? (Sorry had to make fun of the other person)
Cause I'm a kinda funny and talented bitch with cool fans. :)
-
Yeah, well, why don't you make actual content instead of tearing other people down? You're just jealous that you will never be as popular as Twin Perfect.
Here ya go: http://lparchive.org/search/voidburger#results I hope you enjoy! :)
Also, if I'm not mistaken, Bob and I both have more Twitter followers than the TwinPerfect dudes. And I'm also pretty sure Bob's got more Youtube subscribers than they do too...? (I'm not a big Youtuber.)
Jussayin. Unless there's another popularity measurement device you were thinking of? -
So was the week of Giant Bpwn worth it, or did the F.F.F. (Fiddlefaddle Farts Fanatics) sour the whole thing for you?
It was absolutely worth it. As I stated on the mainpage, it's the most fun and interested I've been in writing for my site in ages. I've never really taken that kind of approach to writing for a site before, and didn't really know until I tried that I was really good at the kinda stuff we were posting on Giant Bpwn. (Well, I thought it was good anyway.)
The Fiddlefaddle Farts Fuckers nearly ruined it for me at one point though, yeah. I already know that most people only visit my site for those articles, but for the backlash to be so violent and insulting really made me question why I even bother doing work on my own site anymore if nobody really gives a crap about it. At that point, I had to shove those feelings aside and learn to laugh at how absurd and sad people were being because they didn't have their precious articles anymore. Passing around internet wayback machine links and uploading archives containing raw html "Save Page As" versions of the articles seriously smacked of drug fiend behavior.
But yeah, Giant Bpwn was totally worth it. Whether the joke was too much of an in-joke for most to get or not, I had a blast putting all my content together. -
Is it hard for you to admit when you're wrong?
No; I do it all the time.
But I accused of "having to be right" a lot because, when it comes to more abstract issues, it takes more than someone *telling* me I'm wrong to change my mind. If you can't explain to me *why* I'm wrong, why should throw away my opinion and just accept that you're right? -
you know what? go ahead and take away final fantasy the thing that got you an audience and community and watch them go away over night. all those hits and visitors gone by next month when pat posts them on another site. I already asked him to.
Alright fucker, ya know what? I was in a pretty good mood today, but done went and pressed my grump button, so you're the unfortunate soul that gets both barrels to the face. I've gritted my teeth at how rude people have been over those stupid articles all week while trying to play along with the joke, but holy shit are you fuckers god damn ridiculous. Do you need those articles to live or some shit? Is re-reading the same thing over and over again the only thing you do online? With the way people have acted, the questions I've answered on here, and the several downright rude and obnoxious emails and PM's I've gotten this week, I really have to wonder. A few days without some gaming articles and you're literally shitting yourself through the roof. Get a god damn life.
Anyway, fuck you. Socksmakepeoplesexy.Net is MY site and I don't owe you or anybody else that reads it jack and/or shit. I pay the hosting bill and domain name charges and I'll do with the site whatever I damn well please. Nothing I've posted on my site is beholden to some kind of bill of internet rights that says I can never take it away for whatever reason I want. The site's mine, and I'll fucking post pictures of bicycles and Touhou girls on the Final Fantasy pages from now on if I so damn well desire. Or maybe a big sign on each page that says "GO OUTSIDE," because apparently some of you don't do that enough.
Secondly, I owe my community and audience to Final Fantasy? Puh-fucking-lease. I will concede that many have found my site due to those articles, but we have a pretty active forum and people I talk to on a regular basis because of the site that either aren't there JUST for those articles, and here's a surprise, some of us even dislike Final Fantasy! I couldn't give a fuck less if a few whiny little shits who visit my site for one reason disappear overnight. I don't run a website for them. I run it for me. So leave, because I ain't give noooooo kinda fuck.
And go ahead and ask Pat to post his articles elsewhere. I'm sure that just because it's you, he'll be more than happy to do so. I don't care what he does with content he created. Same as with anyone else whose work is posted on the site.
In summation: Fuck off and choke on four hundred dicks. -
What are your favorite SH websites?
I don't really actively go to any. Most of my SH news comes from other sources, mainly Kamoc, SA threads, and Chemi_Ro (porkbun), who runs shshatteredmemories.com

What's your formula for success?
Enjoy the little things.

If Downpour ends up disappointing you, or even flat out bad in your eyes, will you fully give up on the franchise or give the next game (not Book of Memories) a chance assuming it looks interesting?
i'm of the opinion that each game should be able to stand on its own merits, so if the next installment looks interesting i'll probably give it a shot. i doubt downpour will be able to reach homecoming-levels of disappointment though, but if there's one thing silent hill has taught me it's to be incredibly pessimistic.

2012 is here! What games are you most looking forward to?
http://games.ign.com/articles/121/1215473p1.html
Silent Hill HD Collection, Downpour, BioShock Infinite

If you could work for any video game company who would you work for?
Double Fine or Valve. Double Fine's definitely more up my cartoony and fun alley, but I have such a respect for Valve's high-quality, very fleshed out games. I aspire to be able to do that "digital painting" style of concept art one day, but I'm not sure if it'd be what I'd want to do as a living or not. Cartoons are more fun.

Do you think it's possible Tim Buckley could ever turn things around and make his webcomic decent?
Only if someone else draws and writes it for him
-
Where did the handle VoidBurger come from?
-
People actually treat you like a celebrity?
Most people don't, but yes, quite a bunch of people have groveled.
It's super uncomfortable to deal with and is almost a surefire way to get me to dislike you right off the bat. :( Even if they're trying to joke about it with "I humbly come before you--" bullshit, there's still a kernel of truth to that kind of self-deprecation. I'm just a normal person, don't put me on any pedestals for the extremely unimpressive feat of shoving text on top of videogame footage.
