What's your stand on RH bill? And why?
I think nasagot ko na ito dati. It was something like "I can't comment on the issue because I don't have enough information."
Pero, FYI lang, I was leaning towards pro noon. I'm all for information and education (even dun sa provisions for it) just as long as it is directed to the right audience and there is freedom in participation.
Abortion should also be definitely out of the question.
Kinonsider ko rin yung anti dati kasi may nag-point out na dapat sa ibang bagay ginugugol ng gobyerno ang funds at efforts nila.
With my lack of knowledge in the topic, I chose to trust the side of others na feeling ko ay mapapagkatiwalaan. At ito ang stand nila:
Since many of you are asking (non-stop), I'm posting our position (Victory) on RH Bill to answer all your inquiries.
"Our position as the senior leaders of Victory is that we are for the RH Bill as a means to provide information for families on how to better care for and manage their family size in regard to reproduction. We believe that families are blessed by God to reproduce (Gen 1: 26 – 28) but along with that blessing is the responsibility to mange their families well. This implies that parents can plan the size of their families according to their conscience and use whatever methods are available as long as they are only contraceptive and not abortifacients. We believe that civil government is an institution ordained by God to promote what is good and restrain what is evil (Rom 13:1 – 5), and so with that role, they can be a provider of information on reproductive health to promote health and the wellbeing of the population. However, we believe that this role should simply be informative and not to dictate what families should do in this regard. Also, we believe that there is a moral dimension to reproduction because God ordained sex only within the bounds of marriage, so this information should only be made available to families and not with the general population. We believe that the government can partner with churches to give the moral boundaries in disseminating this information."
Hope this helps.
