Oh, man, I totally forgot about this formspring thing, and then I sign in randomly and there are questions! Cool!
When it comes to music, it tends to change a lot, but these are songs that make it into my top five more often than not:
1. Aceyalone - I Never Knew
2. Prince - Joy in Repetition
3. Sam Cooke - A Change Is Gonna Come
4. Etta James - Sunday Kind of Love
5. Slick Rick - La Di Da Di -
Is where I am right now where I saw myself five years ago? Or is where I see myself in five years where I would've said I saw myself when I was 17? Whoooa, that just got deep. I'll answer it both ways!
Firstly, five years from now, I see myself working steadily with sound, still based in Los Angeles, hopefully in both music and film/tv, but either one would be find. I just love audio. I'll also hopefully be back to performing in some capacity, because I got so focused on learning other things during college, I stopped spending much time on stage. But I still love singing for audiences and want to get back to it. Also, maybe I'll be in a relationship then. I guess that could be cool.
And, actually, I guess five years ago I would've said about the same thing about how I saw myself at 27. And five years ago, I would've said that by now (at 22), yes, I would have graduated college and gone back to LA, but I hadn't made a decision about which college I was going to yet or what exactly I would study, other than something more entertainment-related, so. I probably couldn't have told you about any of that. -
Haha, I got one last week, but I forgot about it after playing with it for like a day. They're kind of cool though. Maybe I'll keep it going.

Mom's responsible for the first name, or, really, she allowed it, because the suggestion came from a friend of hers. It was between Chanelle and Ariel (emphasis on the 'el' part again, the way Sebastian says it).
Middle name came from the old man. Berlin, Germany was his favorite city while in the service. -
Two nights ago, my brother Jerrell and I walked around the corner so I could buy some stuff from the store. We didn't talk about anything important, mostly just joked around the whole time, but I was warm, happy, and laughing with my best friend.

N*E*R*D!!!!!!!! is obviously my dream band to do sound for. Not only because I love their shows, but it's probably the closest I could ever get to Pharrell just putting me in his back pocket for a few months at a time. Alternately, I'd love to do sound for the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. That seems like it'd be a cool venue to try to master.
Worst to handle sound for would probably be MF Doom, because all his shows these days are fakeouts that just use DJs, and what it the point, if there's no actual job to do? -
Oh my god. They are basically heaven for someone who thinks the combination of spice and lime is the world's greatest gift to mankind, so, you know, to me. There are a few flavors, but I love Takis Fuego the most, these fried tortilla chips coated to death in lime and chili powder, made in Mexico and (THANKFULLY) distributed here, and I'm addicted. I like it so much, I wish I could put a ring on it. I only think of them on two occasions, and that's day and night, etc, etc, lots of other pop songs about love that I would like to ascribe to chips.

The weather is usually at least better than most other places even when it isn't perfect. The mountains are beautiful. Beaches! Where the sun sets over the ocean! Everything about its local culture that's worth loving (taqueria's, food trucks, cemetery screenings, random and ridiculous encounters with the entertainment industry) and worth loving to hate (traffic, smog, Arnold). But more than any of that, I once heard LA described as "a city full of people who think they've already made it," which means that sometimes you run into assholes, but for the most part means I get to bounce in a city full of confidence and folks with willingness to share why they're awesome, from the wackiest hobos chilling in Hollywood to business people. Everyone is a character with their heads held high! And I like it, because I'm a character too.
