have you ever seen any of robert bresson's films?...as the poem you posted about "being baptized, & needing a whole new life" is very much the theme of his amazing film "mouchette", which i just watched last night...
i have not! but i have looked him up now and i intend to get the movie and watch it over this winter break i have from classes. thank you so much for the suggestion.
