I don't know if I ever have. Not in the way you have them delivered for you. So only in an informal sort of way.

While I remember some German from high school, really only one. But I do it pretty well.

Probably David Sedaris. But I don't know if I count meeting people in lines to have books signed. Which is the only way I know celebrities.

I always imagined myself as Dylan McDermott. But that's not realistic for a number of reasons.

I don't get afraid of the dark, but I tend to get really creeped out right before bed by feeling like I must be the only person left in the world. So I have a tendency to stay up until I physically can't anymore, reading or watching TV to convince myself I'm not.

But I prefer mornings. 8-9 on a weekend morning out in the neighborhoods is perfect. I tend to sleep until eleven though, so that's a rare occasion.

Getting up at nine is sleeping in for me but lets me get up early enough to enjoy the morning. Not to mention I don't feel like I've wasted half the day being unconscious.

Buried. Everyone in my family wants to be cremated, but I want to be in the ground. It used to creep me out when I realized that it meant also having worms dig into me, but now I kind of love that part too. The whole decaying process is one that I feel really thankful about. I think because it means I go into the earth.

I also started finding my way to Judaism a couple of years ago and one of the first things I learned was about their burial ritual. A simple pine box wrapped in simple cloth. Nothing fancy. I like that.

I also like that I'd have a gravestone. Cemeteries have long fascinated me and I like the idea of being a part of one. The idea of the world being blown up by the sun makes me sad mostly because it means that my grave site - my last remnant - will be gone.

In high school I didn't really have friends until my senior year. I had friends before then, but not ones that I think others would think of when they think about friends in high school. Meaning we didn't much see each other outside of class.

Anyway, this meant that lunches could be lonely. One day a senior girl came over to my table - tables sat about eight and I had one to myself. I usually did math homework and generally wasn't terribly inviting. Not only did she sit, but she started to talk to me. I had no idea who she was or what we even talked about, but I know I probably didn't say much despite how grateful I was. She was the first person who had no reason to make me feel special, but she did. Just by being nice.

I don't know if it really counts as most delicious, but one of the first times I was really taken by food was when I was probably around 12 and at my Grandmother's for a visit. One lunch she made was just a turkey sandwich with Havarti and lettuce on potato bread. It was freaking delicious and was the first time I really thought about flavors.
