I would personally have to say Adobe Lightroom is fantastic. I use it for all my color correcting and for converting to black and white. I also use Adobe Photoshop, but only for sharpening and any bigger image corrections (I use the patch tool, the clone tool, etc. when needed). Thanks for asking! I hope this helps :)

hey!! sorry for the delayed response... but in answer to your question, i'm not sure there is any particular way to tell when it's gone bad. since it needs to stay in the dark, you can't really tell if it looks different. over time it definitely loses it's potency, though. i also responded to your comment on my blog with a little bit more detailed answer. hopefully it will help you :)

Currently I have a Canon 5DMII camera body, and the lenses I mainly use are the 50mm 1.4, the 24-70mm 2.8, the 70-200mm 2.8, and occasionally a Lensbaby composer. Hope this helps!
