      Have you noticed an increase in young photographers in the metroplex the past year? And do you agree with the notion that of all the art forms, photography is the weakest? (even established photographers themselves have admited this)

      I can't tell if this is somebody trying to be smart with me/take a jab at me, but I'm going to answer this as if it wasn't.
      Question 1:
      Yes, photography has had an increase in young amateurs. This is due to the advent of the cheap DSLR. Before digital cameras, you had to understand how ISO, aperture, and shutter speed all came together to create an image. Now, you can review images, delete, retake, and edit without the excess cost of film. Photography has become easier to get into. But than again, almost everybody these days is a graphic artist, band member, or owns a t-shirt company...
      Question 2:
      Not really. Photography is an art, not at all the weakest. If you are trying to take a jab at me, you might want to refresh your memory of everything. Unless you read everything in a book with no images, how would you know what government officials of previous years looked like(years after the advent of photography obviously)? Or what about all those deep story-telling images from WWII? WWI even. The great depression? Photography is a craft. Digital may have made it "easier" to do this craft, but it has made the challenge to be original, that much greater.
