Hands down my favourite subject in school was history. I loved reading up on history growing up and taking the courses in high school that I went on to major (and then took an MA) in history. I initially was going to specialise in British history but ended up specialising in Russian history but European history remains my love to date =)

I still prefer physical books (sometimes I'd be reading something off my eReader and think "This would be great if I had the actual book); there's something about reading something on print and down on paper.
But I do like reading off my eReader as well; Kobo is using e-ink so it's easy on the eyes (unlike reading for long periods of time on the computer screen). It also saves a lot of space on the bookshelf, which is a plus because I'm running out of shelf space, lol. And usually books are cheaper in the eBook format (not all the time though, I've come across some ridiculous prices online). So yeah, it has its advantages and disadvantages. -
House Stark. I'd definitely fit in as a northerner (coming from a northern country) so I can handle the colder temperatures. Plus it's far away from the King's Landing and the south, where it's hot and filled with people and politicking. Like any other house, they are about honour, duty and family but there's something about the way the Starks handle themselves and the challenges ahead of them that I think I'd fit in with.

Anything but my thesis, haha. Was supposed to have my chapter 2 draft completed but I still have a paragraph or two to write...

An astronomer xD Then I realised in grade 11 that I had absolutely no patience for physics =/

"Things will get done. The important thing is to just keep on moving" - My dad's advice to me every now and then. He's big on the idea of not wasting time xD

Chapters Indigo bookstore, naturalment =P (Though maybe I'll pop in to a clothing store or something as well to pick up a few shirts as well, just so that I have something new to wear too, lol)

I don't have an ask.fm and I dunno if I'll sign up over there (too many accounts in too many places at the moment; hard to keep up, lol) but thanks for the heads up about the place!

To be honest there's just too many to list. Graduating from UofT last June was a highlight. Quieter moments like drinking my afternoon cup of coffee with my parents is another. =)

Good question. I honestly don't know which period I'd want to go back in, every period in history just seems so unique and fascinating in its own way. The Italian Renaissance would be an awesome time to go back to because of all the wonders of art, architecture, music and technology that was being developed at the time. The Victorian period in England would also be interesting to go back to because of the literature that was being produced. Plus, I love men in cravats =P

Only one? I have two, actually, lol:
1) The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien -- I first read it when I was fifteen, right before the movies came out. Absolutely fell in love with it (movies just reinforced this love): the characters, the dialogue, the plot, the scope of the world and history of Middle Earth, the peoples that inhabited it, just everything. It was amazing, really epic in every sense.
2) Persuasion by Jane Austen -- Hands down, my favourite Austen novel. It was the only Austen novel that I really could not put down no matter what: I had to know how it was all going to turn out (won't go into specifics if you haven't read it). But it's a beautiful story, more melancholic than her other works. Plus, the letter at the end? Gets me every time xD -
Good question...I think had I ruled academia out as an option, I would've likely pursued a career in publishing. Or a job involving a lot of travelling. I was actually looking into conservation/restoration programs as a back-up had I not been accepted into grad school so that's another career I would've pursued =)
