I once got asked this online, specifically regarding X-Men.

"If you were an X-Man, how would your character be introduced as a regular? Describe the plot of the arc that would feature your appearance."

Wolverine would be discovered crawling out of a bar, whimpering to himself, and just begging "no more...". You'd see the reactions on everyone's faces before there's a full page splash of me, in full accountant mode, a calculator in my hand, asking "Next?"

Flashback to a story arc where the X-Men decide that the only way that humankind will ever trust mutants is if they see mutants policing themselves, and so they embark on a huge self-policing regime. Cut to a US Government official railing against the new vigilante exploits of the X-Men and thinking "well, we got Capone that way" and auditing the X-Men. Setup initially so everyone's convinced I'm a baddie, my mutant skills of being able to make sense of accounting and tax law means that after I've written off the X-Men's blackbird stealth fighter as "petty cash" and got the IRS to agree that the costs of the costumes are tax-deductible, I'm welcomed onto the team.

Wouldn't know - couldn't stand THE OFFICE. Genuinely didn't see the humour in it alpt all. Think I watched one episode and never went back.
