I get this question a lot. :D I took the original Skins opening and used the masking tool to add my Harry Potter clips. It was a bit like using tracing paper. There's a lot of tutorials on masking to be found on YouTube if you wanna learn that. :D

Thank you very much! <3 Aw, I really appreciate the lovely compliments. I don't know, it's mostly trail and error from my perspective. I love this forum: http://fpvideos.proboards.com/index.cgi and this forum: http://lostvideo.net/phpBB/index.php?sid=d18b99182fb21da9f315bcc245b19c18 . I learned so much from them both. At artbeats I really just search for random stuff and hope it pays off. Some keywords I've used are: light effects, graffiti, grunge, calligraphy, etc. I hope that helped!

Hi! Sorry about the atrociously late reply, I suck. /o\ I mostly learned to make vids through trial and error and through following vidders that I found inspiring. There's lots of great tutorials to be found on YouTube for whatever video editing program you have, and then it's all about trying from there. :D I also learned a lot from this forum: http://fpvideos.proboards.com/index.cgi

Ooh, interesting! I wasn't really in favor of voicing my thoughts on this, because I think it can color how other people view my vids, but ah well. Know that I do have fondness for them all!
I fell in LOVE with Freddie this season. Last time around I was kind of indifferent, because there wasn't a whole lot of personality there for us to see, but I loved him for trying so hard with Effy. I think it was the scene where he ran into the field to chase away her imaginary demons that did it for me. Oh, Freddie. :( I also liked Effy a bit more this season, actually, but maybe that's because I adore Kaya so much.
I hate to say this, but I got tired of Emily really fast. It sucks, because I LOVED her last year. They did the same thing to her that they did to Cassie; took away her sweetness and made her incredibly bitter and vindictive because of cheating. I also grew an intense dislike for Thomas, and I loved him and his optimism last year as well. Everyone always have to turn so bitter in the second year when it's Skins. :/
I liked the season well enough. I HATED the insular episodes thing they had going on, I think it's the group interaction that makes Skins what it is and they basically stripped that away. Cook's episode was one of the best episodes Skins has every done, in my opionion, and I adored Freddie's as well. I don't know. I'm kind of bipolar when it comes to this season. :D -

Oh man, it really depends on the vid. I think maybe half an hour for 10 seconds? Of course sometimes you get one of those flowy things where you've suddenly vidded 45 seconds in an hour (and the dreaded quick-beats ones where 10 seconds will take an hour, omg they fill me with horror D:), but I think half an hour is pretty standard. I'm sloooow, finding clips always takes me forever and then I end up watching the scenes instead of just moving along. :D -
