have you ever had a life-changing near death experience?

no. i dont think ive had a life-changing experience.
that's not true. i have, but it wasn't a near death experience, thankfully.

the closest thing ive had to a near death experience-
i was like 8 or 9 years old, maybe.. still young enough to be playin with barbie dolls
i had just gotten a new one. she had glow-in-the-dark clothes & i wanted to see them glow.. it was in the middle of the day, and the only dark place i could think of in my house was my mother's closet, which locked from the outside when shut all the way
note: this was in the middle of summer. my mother's room was on the top level of our house, which was always blazing unless the air was on
on this particular day, for whatever reason, the air was NOT on.
i stepped in the closet & kicked my foot back to keep the door from closing all the way, but did it too late & it shut and locked.
my mom was gone, and only my weedhead uncle, who was living with us at the time, was at home.
he was likely in the basement smokin weed and couldn't hear me as i beat on the door and screamed and stomped on the floor trying to get him to come and open the door and let me out.
in about 10 minutes time, i was completely covered with sweat and getting sleepy. i took a bunch of my mother's clothes and made a pallet, laid down and literally waited to die.
i shut my eyes and as i drifted off, my weedhead uncle called up the stairs: "trace, you need to get in the bathroom??"
(we only had one bathroom in our house, and we didn't have a shower at this time, so before anybody got in the tub, we always asked everyone if they had to use the bathroom to avoid having to get out mid-bath so someone could take a piss)
i yelled that i was stuck in the closet, he came and let me out. i went on about my business.

i guess i was too young to have my life flash before my eyes or whatever.
i think my mom bought me some ice cream for my troubles when she got home, and all was solved.
