Absolutely. Tea is my staple drink. I developed a taste for tea whilst I was at university in the UK and I continue to enjoy it.

The internet is a tool for information and for community. It can be used in a lot of different ways. I think that for those who discuss in good faith, it enables sincere discourse. For those who wish to harm others, it is a means of harassment. Like any tool, the internet can be used for good or for ill. I'd also say that people aren't as anonymous as they think they are on the internet.

It's September 2011. Anita's still doing a ton of research to make the videos. None of the videos in the "Tropes vs. Women in Video Games" series have been released yet. Given the fact that they haven't been released yet, I have not seen any of them.

I prefer story mode. Time trials stress me out.

Yes, I would. I haven't gotten one yet because I have no idea what tattoo I'd get. I haven't found something that I identify so strongly with that I'd get it on my body, nor have I yet wanted so strongly to commemorate a particular moment, event, or milestone. I have to admit that I'm slightly wary of the potential pain as well.

Here's the thing. I don't read a lot anymore (not as much as when I had more free time as a student) and when I do, I don't seem to read books that get adapted to film. I've read about 10 books this year and the vast majority have been non fiction and would never be turned into films (maybe they would be documentaries if I stretch my imagination). So I guess I don't have a favorite. This is partly for the above reason and because the book-to-film adaptations I have seen weren't that well done, so at the moment I guess the only thing that might come close to being a favorite is Lord of the Rings.

I guess it depends on how you define nerdy/geeky. In terms of being about nerd themes... I generally dislike them because they tend to be stupid. Years ago I would have said Clerks, but I think I have probably grown beyond it and may no longer find Dante's antics amusing. Then again, (back then) I enjoyed Mallrats and mostly disliked Chasing Amy, so you may find my Kevin Smith film connoisseur-ship suspect.
In terms of films that nerds/geeks enjoy, such as science fiction or fantasy films, I enjoy the Alien films, especially Aliens, Alien, and Alien: Resurrection (I'm probably in a minority in this case) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. And the LOTR films for traditional fantasy. -
Brinstar is a location on the planet Zebes in the Metroid series of games. I chose this handle primarily because I like the atmosphere, aesthetics, and music of the "red soil swampy area" of lower Brinstar in Super Metroid. IF I had to name my favourite game of all time, Super Metroid would have to be it.
You can find more info about the location here: http://metroid.wikia.com/wiki/Brinstar
You can find remixes of the music from this section of Brinstar here: http://ocremix.org/song/454 This theme was also rearranged/reused in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
I'm typically the first to grab this username on many sites. It's not too common of a handle, however there are exceptions, so there's no guarantee that someone called Brinstar online is me (but there's a decent chance of it). -
I have seen both Gremlins films. I don't remember them too well, so I can't say I have a favourite gremlin, though the one that talks in the second film was pretty cool because he was voiced by Tony Randall, Felix from The Odd Couple.

I quite liked the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I can't think of others that are as good. Having said that, I have not read every science fiction or fantasy book ever or seen every film adaptation ever.

Everything in Fargo.

This might sound weird, but I sometimes watch old Arnold Schwarzenegger films when I'm down. At those times, I want to watch something I know, but I also don't want to think too much. I don't have a specific go-to film, though.
I especially like Arnie's 80s era--Commando, the Conan films, The Running Man, Total Recall, etc.
The seminal Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a personal fave. I'm not fond of his films past the early 90s, though. True Lies is my cut-off point when it comes to Arnie film appreciation. -
Yes. I enjoy his films. Ones that I've enjoyed, which I can name off the top of my head are: Rope, Shadow of a Doubt, and Rear Window. I haven't seen all of his films, but it's something I'd like to do eventually. Oh and I also recently noticed that Alfred Hitchcock Presents is streaming on Netflix, so I might check that out at some point. I remember seeing some of those episodes when I was a kid.

Boredom/curiosity.

Hm... This is a really open question, and I have a lot of answers, but I'll just choose one.
I enjoy videogame music fan remixes/rearrangements. There's a lot of talent out there in fan communities. I particularly enjoy work by The OneUps, The Minibosses, and Metroid Metal.
If anyone's interested in this sort of thing, Overclocked ReMix (OCR) is an awesome place to start. I really enjoy fan remix work by djpretzel (incidentally, I interviewed djpretzel on my blog about OCR's involvement with Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix http://acidforblood.net/2008/12/interview-david-w-lloyd-director-super-street-fighter-ii-turbo-hd-remix-official-soundtrack/ ), DarkeSword, McVaffe, and The Wingless, but there are so many awesome remixers out there. If you enjoy music by Guild Wars composer Jeremey Soule, he actually did a fan remix of a song from Final Fantasy VI and you can find that on OCR, too.
I'm not musically-inclined myself; I'm just an appreciator. :-) -
Sounds like you're looking for a game from the past rather than recent memory. There are so many... I'll go with Castlevania: The Adventure for the GameBoy. At the time, I was in my final year of university and the GameBoy Color was my only console, so when I had spare moments from revising or writing essays, I'd play Pokémon or whatever. Anyway, Level 4 of Castlevania: The Aventure was bloody hard. You needed pixel perfect timing. So aggravating. I tried so many, many times to beat it, but it was not to be. I finally just quit in frustration.

A Game of Thrones, by that GRRM fellow.
