well your light meter is a separate component on your camera, i suggest giving it to a professional repair shop for an examination. check if your batteries are worn out, and watch out for mercury leakage if the batteries have been in there for too long. If it's not responding then it's most likely a circuitry problem, which is best handled by an experienced person.

dating this back to a few days ago, i had a dream about skating on a longboard around the streets at midnight, places which were usually packed were completely empty, so it felt nice, for some reason i ended up in some huge cargo plane reconstructed into a skatepark inside, so technically i was skating in mid-air. that's pretty much it.

hey, firstly thanks for the compliment. well try to make sure everything is working on your yashica fx-3 cause i figured my light meter was broken and read light incorrectly, i always had to push 1 stop ahead before shooting. on tips, try experimenting with different types of film, because each one has a certain effect. and if you want to get photos on your computer, you can goto your local film store and ask them to scan your negatives on a disk, otherwise you can give a negative scanner yourself and you can do the work :)

well the point of a candid shot is trying to shoot someone without them noticing, but when you have the intention to shoot a person straight up from the front it's best to ask them for their permission. in the past, i always talked to the people i shot whether they were strangers or friends, it's always best to make them feel comfortable so the shot would turn out more natural. but yes, i do irritate people once in a while without asking people for their permission, but i never had someone come up to me and scold me about it. good question btw.

thanks for the compliments, hmm i really don't know where i find my songs, it's either i hear them live, a friend of mine tells me about them, or i randomly stumble upon gold. support the artist buy their album! but when i can't find their music i resort to isohunt or bee mp3

errr thanks? i'm not used to compliments like these, but it's nice to hear this once in a while

oh shit! i feel put on the spot. this is the most pressure i've gotten from any formspring questions i had before.
i used to play cs when i was young, i still do once in a while, fps is fast and quick, so it's nice for releasing stress. Then, i went into this huge warcraft stage, NOT wow to be clear, just original warcraft III, then dota came along and now HoN. it's nice to play those with friends, since it requires some teamwork, and it suddenly feels like a sport. but other than those, there are obviously the big console games like halo, final fantasy, etc.

hahaha, jon! i must admit to the world now, i do in fact play a couple of computer games once in a while.

      thanks for the compliment.
well personally, i believe everybody has their own taste for aesthetics one way or another. i'm not really the type to give out advice, but in my opinion i would say, get out of your comfort zone. it feels as though you use the flash quite often, which gives your photos very harsh lighting, try to avoid using it whenever you can, and instead just use a tripod or a ledge you can find somewhere.

why thank you, that's very nice of you.
to be honest i'm not very good myself so i don't want to give you any false advice. but trying to be a successful photographer requires you to walk down a very long and tiring road. i started photography around your age if i remember correctly, the first camera i used was a minolta which my uncle lent me. after i got the basics down from trial and error, i saved up some money to buy a canon slr. In my opinion, when anyone starts photography, it's not so much about the gear, rather more, it's about your perspective. and when you think you've used your gear to it's full potential, then that will be the time to upgrade.

oh you just have to do some minor html coding, it's really easy just goto customize and in your description box type

thanks for the compliment, i do have a flickr, but i haven't updated it ever since i got tumblr, since i never saw the point in it. here's the link if you're interested though http://www.flickr.com/photos/brian_sun/
personally, i think photography requires a lot of patience, despite the fact that you can take a photo in a fraction of a second, you need the patience to wait for the right photo to appear. in my opinion, take things slowly, lomo is great fun, but the expenses paid for developing all the film you take with it stacks up.
btw T60 is great! i love old analogue slr's they're so much fun, i find having a variety of lenses a lot more useful than new body.
