It's a flash composite: camera on a tripod, multiple shots with me in the frame holding a flash, 5 minutes in photoshop (or less) with some layer masks. Follow Ryan Brenizer's work and you'll find more examples and maybe some tips. It's not at all a new idea, but he introduced me to the possibilities of doing it quickly on a wedding day.

I did switch. I now have two D700s, a 16-35, 35, 50, 55 macro, 85, and 70-200 as well as a few sb800 flashes.
The reasons for the switch are complex, but basically it boils down to the fact that Canon doesn't have a full-frame camera with great ISO and autofocus, while Nikon has several, with the D700 being a really great deal at under $2500. -
I shoot primarily with primes and one body, but I have two backup bodies also. For weddings you definitely need a backup or two of everything critical.
-
A little weird. I've been really thinking about it, a D700s and 35G would probably tip me over the edge.
-
everything up to about 12 years old is real vague, is that normal? I do remember pretty clearly spilling milk in my lap at school at about 6 years old.
-
About a foot, nothing too exciting.
-
one piece? have backups for everything important.
If I can give a second, know your equipment inside and out so you can focus on people and moments instead of exposure, focus, lighting, etc. -
Weddings are great because everyone is (usually) happy and looking their best. It's also nice to know that my work will be appreciated for decades.
-
nope, i hardly dream. i can only remember having a dream a handful of times a year, and even fewer times can I remember any details. and nothing ever repeats.

Not really from people in my church, our church is cool like that. I did start a homebrew group in our church a couple years ago and it got an article in the local paper with an interview with me, I got a lot of strong emails after that from people at other churches.
-
Religious isn't part of my target at all, and if they're a really conservative type of religious I'm probably not a good fit for them. That's part of the reason I also have the beer thing in my profile.
-
I do lightroom adjustments to everything, and paste settings where I can. The best things for speed is to get it right in camera, find your style so you know where to go in post, and to think more and shoot less.
-
That's a tough one, I've got an imperial stout and a barleywine that I've made both a couple times and choosing between them would be like choosing a favorite child.
-
It's going around Twitter a lot, and some photography message boards.
-
That I've shot at so far, The English Inn. But I'd love to shoot in/near Traverse City. Or at Bell's Eccentric Cafe, that would be awesome!
-
I don't refuse, I just don't show any on my site and don't deliver any. If a client requests a B+W print, I'm happy to oblige. Why? I just like color; I see in color and I shoot for color.

There's a tiny little island the size of a football field I explored with some people years ago in Papua New Guinea, it was really cool and would be tons of fun to shoot at.
