One of my brilliant sister comrades said: Wow! It's not a subject I know much at all about but will be looking forward to seeing what you write about it! I have no suggestions, but if any of my followers do, I'd encourage them to contact you. :)
I don't know if this is remotely relevant to what you are looking for, but I am interested in how Black and other marginalized groups (particularly North Africans, who may be Arab or Amazigh rather than Black) talk about their lives in France & how they negotiate nationality, marginalization, race, class, etc. I think the immigrant experience has produced some writing on this, but I really especially am interested in hearing more from the people who are second, third, fourth generation - who do not consider themselves as immigrants, who consider themselves French. -
Yoga and scheming and dreaming about how to spread the gospel of black feminism :)

Love is the most powerful thing in life. I could gush all day about how healing, inspiring and empowering it is to experience queer black feminist intentional love all day every day. (And truth be told I do!) I would say to other young people in love to CHERISH the honor of witnessing up close the miracle of someone's transformative inspiring life. And act according to whatever will affirm and nurture and support that miracle. Be kind, be creative, be exuberant, and be that revolution that love calls you to be!!!!

Because I love porch culture. Being at home and public. Being in shared heart and mind space with my neighbors and anyone who may walk by!

Julia and I believe that Purple and Turquoise are part of a whole. Like the Alexandrite (my birthstone) which is purple in the dark and turquoise in the light we believe those elements of purple (which we associate with the powerful disruptive tradition of queerness) and turquoise (which we associate with clarity, connectedness and communication) complement each other with exactly the type of dynamic energy we want to infuse our project (mobilehomecoming.wordpress.com)

Actually I am really in pursuit of a black feminist or womanist text about nightdreams. If you hear of one holler at me. But what I do is I write down my dreams as I remember them in a dream journal that I keep next to my bed. Sometimes I discuss them with people (especially my partner and my mother). I read them over and sometimes explore them through poems based on the imagery in the dreams (Audre Lorde did this a lot in her journals and in many of her published poems i.e. Power). I find myself gaining a lot of clarity and priceless guidance for my waking life in my dreams.

Reading and listening and acting accordingly.

I do. And I think there are many forms of mothering. I am surrounded by brilliant mothers and I have been mothered by many. I hope to honor them all by honoring the children who are sent my way.

Aretha Franklin is the truth. The sound of her voice is a lesson in being reborn.

I eat oatmeal with maple syrup and brown sugar and tulsi tea every morning first thing. Then for breakfast part 2 Julia and I LOVE avocado, turkey bacon and croissants with cheese. Breakfast of champs.

Actually I think that we who believe in freedom must rest in order to live make it come to pass everyday. But even in our dreams we are downloading ancestor insight for the transformative days to come!

I found a lot of the tracks that I listened to on okayplayer and I especially love the hip hop instrumentals on FWMJ's rappersiknow.com. Almost everything I listened to was a free download.

About 4 mornings a week from 5am to 8am or 5am to 2pm if my partner isn't around.

Waking up at 5 (or in some cases 4) in the morning!

I decided to only consider PhD programs that offered me full funding...meaning full tuition and a stipend for living expenses. Most PhD programs offer funding, the question is how linked the funding is to teaching or other labor on your part as a graduate student. Most programs have at least one fellowship that they can offer that is not attached to graduate student grunt work on your part. Email me if you want to talk more.

Create this life in collaboration with my ancestors...and you.

1. Not having a job (or viewing my life as a divine calling and not an alienated net worth...or as my grandfather said "i work to damn hard to work for somebody)
2. Being present. Centering value on the process of life and fighting against my internalized capitalist impulse to focus only on "products."
3.Do it yourself reparation practices (i.e. redistributing resources from universities and other corporations).
4. Sharing
5. Community support sustainable bread, veggies, healing, education and art! -

Black Feminism Lives! Ask me questions here so we can prove it! That picture is me reading one of Audre Lorde's journals.
