First of all you need to figure out where people talk about similar topics as your product and participate in the discussions. What is important here is to not look for places to spam, but places to participate and be helpful.

Secondly, I would personally set up an Google AdWords campaign (sponsored links) and run it with a medium sized budget. This is of course if you already have a website set up and ready.
