We used to get a lot of junk mail that would be addressed to "Ben Closki". The obvious response to that is "Ben who?". My father used to put "Benwho Productions" on his home-made Super-8 film animation movies. When trying to come up with a fun, unique name for my website and other accounts, I decided to lengthen it to "Benwhoski". Not a hugely interesting story, I guess, but that's how it happened :)

Re-enacting the argument sketch during an actual argument. That stopped being funny a very long time ago.

My friend Adam, but I doubt he would appreciate me publicly tossing around his contact information. :)

I've never tasted motor oil, and unlike the previous question about the DSi, I am not interested in researching for this question. Though I wonder, since some vehicles can be modified to run using vegetable oil, does that count?

Do believe one is "doomed" assumes a belief in a fate that cannot be changed. I don't believe in any such thing so can only honestly respond that you are not.

Experience has taught me that I shouldn't.

My artwork is influenced by my influences.

Only if you don't mind attracting excess rabbits to the grave. They like parsley.

My research indicates that there is no known consistent way of making this work.

There really isn't a lot about last year that I would want to change that I would have had any power to change. I suppose there was a situation in which I wish I had been able to ignore my irrational anxieties and enjoy certain activities with someone I am very fond of more. Really, if that's my biggest regret in a year I can't complain too much. And the energy needed for regret would be better spent working on my anxiety issues and hoping that I can overcome that awkwardness in similar opportunities in the future.

Mostly I sell artwork by request via my Benwhoski.com or deviantArt, and at various geeky conventions I attend either at an artists table or their art shows. Mostly these turn out to be anime conventions because there seems to be a severe lack of just general sci-fi/fantasy cons within what I consider to be a reasonable travel distance for my finances right now. There may be an abandoned Zazzle or Cafepress store around. On occasion I get a check for some tiny amount from one of them. There is also a limited number of prints available through deviantArt, but I don't think I'll be doing any more of that in the future. I'm planning on setting up an Etsy account one of these days, and I need to update my commission info on my website since I've actually settled on a pricing system.
So, short answer, wherever I can :) -
Goodwill. No, I don't just do it out of employee loyalty. While some may not believe it, I am intensely picky about what I wear. There are really only a handful of styles of clothing that I feel look good on me. Problem is those styles aren't always in style. If I go to regular clothing stores, I am pretty much stuck with whatever the current trend happens to be. If the current trend happens to be huge floral prints on short turtleneck sweaters and tapered-leg jeans, I'm not going to be happy camper.
I like the randomness of what one finds in secondhand stores. I also like the relatively low price tags, as I'm a geek who doesn't want to spend a lot of money on things like clothing when there are techie gadgets, video games, and art supplies to be bought.
And despite my frequent frustrations with my job I still truly believe in the company's mission of providing resources to help people acquire sustainable employement. Just as I like to withhold my money from companies I consider to be unethical, I like to deliberately give my money to organizations I think do important work. So, it's largely Goodwill and other non-profit secondhand stores for me. -
No. Not unless you count the last time.

"Jessi" is a shortened form of "Jessica", which according to my research is descended from the Hebrew name "Iscah" which means "He beholds". I don't really know why I was named this, beyond knowing that it was a name my parents could agree on.

As of this writing, no I have not. There was one summer job in which I quit at the end of the summer and was told I would probably not be rehired due to my attendance, however.

TV, no question. I can go for weeks without actively watching any TV. 24 hours without a computer makes me twitchy.
