I can't speak for anyone else, but I imagine it has more to do with your upbringing than the actual quality of your body. Though being 'self-conscious' has negative connotations, it can work in someone's favor, not just being aware of the flaws but seeing the positive aspects of yourself as well. I'm extremely self-conscious, though I try not to vocalize my insecurities because I know quite a few people think I look better than I believe I do. Internalizing my percieved flaws makes me seem a lot more confident than I am, too, and allows me to focus on what I like about myself. Once you recognize what flatters you, you can play up to it, though I clearly don't always get it right (ie Vampi).

I've never heard of it. Should I watch it?
-
From the movies, I would want to be Oola. From the comics, I would want to be Deliah Blue. Whenever it comes to sci-fi, I never want to be a baseline human. Seems kinda boring; aliens are where it's at.
-
I think I'd like a dinner with the Doctor. The conversation would be fantastic.
-
Star Wars! I'm actually wearing a Her Universe shirt right now. I've tried to get into Trek, but it just didn't click with me.
Since the books were available to me when I was growing up, Lord of the Rings. My English teacher loved me in 6th grade cause I was reading The Hobbit and Dune without any encouragement. When the LotR movies came out, myself and my friends watched them so obsessively that we got tattoos of our favourite/most associatable Fellowship characters' names in elven. I have Strider on my inner right wrist.
And I'm sure, by now, people know I'm a Marvel over a DC. -
Ooooh, I've thought long and hard. The trouble is, the more I think, the more ideas I get! I think I have the list figured out and narrowed down, and then I go coming up with another good one. When I figure it out, I'll post it on Facebook.

It's already a given that I'm looking forward to Thor>Captain America>All other comic-related movies in 2011, but I'd really love to see Lucifer (published by Vertigo, written by Mike Carey) or Sandman (Gaiman) made into a movie. At the same time, I'd be worried I'd wind up disappointed. It seems difficult for Gaiman's work to be transferred to the screen.

I am 5'8 flat-footed. Heels usually put me around 6'.

I'd never charge unless the resulting photos were used in print or for sale. I've never actually done a professional shoot, believe it or not. Many of the 'professional' photographers in my area either do soft-lighting portraits or mistake me for a fetishist. The good ones charge, cause they deserve to, and I don't have the money to make costumes AND pay for a photog. I'm all about TFP.

I find it amusing I'm being asked a sports question. Traditional sports? Nothing. Untraditional? Let's see... I'm pretty darn good at Red Rover (if you don't let me through, I will ruin you), croquet (poison, FTW!), fencing (epee!), roller skating (still gearing up to be a roller derby gal), kayaking and rafting. I watch the Olympics, and that's about it.

I had all holiday music pretty much ruined for me growing up. It wasn't that my parents listened to it obsessively - it was because I was in marching band. We did 7 parades and a holiday concert, and we prepped and practiced for two months prior. Everytime I hear Sleigh Ride I feel like a blood vessel bursts in my head.

The Muppets Christmas Special, hands down! The Grinch is good too.
Also... Snuggie = Goose Down and Favorite Hot Drink = Hot Cocoa with a splash of Mint Baileys or a Butterbeer. -
Oooh, classic. I've seen it once, but ages ago. I'll have to watch it again, then see if there's time to fit it in.

Red Sonja should be this winter. Call me crazy, but I'd love to do a really snowy shoot ala Queen of the Frozen Wastes. Ivy should be this spring when I finish up making Nightmare. I feel like I have enough pictures of PG, but I'm open to (tasteful) photoshoot suggestions!

I do not have any tutorials, though that's something I would like to include in my website...which I desparately need help with. Until my website has been developed, I always welcome people to ask me whatever questions they may have about how I construct costumes. I'm quite willing to share my 'secrets'. Thank you for the compliment!

If I had the answer to that, I think I would be a lot better off financially than I am right now!
-
Alien. Believe it or not, I had never seen it before a few months ago. Also I watch Walking Dead in the dark - only way to do it!
-
I'm afraid not. I enjoyed myself down there this year, but the cost of flying and hotels is just too much.
-
Thank you!! I'm playing Fable III for a second time around (totally Evil this time!) and when I need to let out a bit of stress I play Prototype. I also need to finish Red Dead Redemption.

Spin Me Right Round by Dead or Alive! Also most things by Daft Punk and Billy Idol.
