Oh definitely good gameply and bad story.

I honestly don't fret over plotlines too much as some other people do. That's why I liked F.E.A.R. 'cause although the game lacked plotline, the gameplay was very sexy and I just like it so much asdfghjkl; Almaaaaaa~! （o´∀｀ｄ）～ Which may also be why I despise the second one because although the developers made an effort to put in an interesting plotline (which btw I didn't even like either), the gameplay was g'damn awful in return.

I think games are made for /playing/, so if I were to play a game, it should be fun to play with. If I wanted to experience a good story, I'd go and read a book. In my case, a fanfiction. Tee hee hee.
