LOL! Depends on the season and how busy I am but...somewhere between 7-9 hours a night on average. :-) I LOVE my sleep!

Fashion mags. ANY fashion mag!! I just love to be inspired by fashion photography. Many of my ideas have come from fashion mags. :-)

I am obsessed with funky blankets, wraps, and rugs. The more texture, the better. I also love baskets and plates for newborns. I probably have 20 of them in my studio and I am constantly picking up more. I LOVE to wander around thrift stores, flea markets, and places like Marshall's without anything in mind. You would be amazed what you can find with just a little bit of creativity! I am currently on a mission for old barn doors and old shutters. Anyone have any laying around? :-)

Hmmm...that's a good question! I LOVE to get my inspiration from all over. I LOVE vintage stores, thrift stores, flea markets, etc for both photo shoot props and for my own personal wardrobe. I am constantly looking a magazines, fashion websites, photog websites, you name it. I love to see something done and try to find a way to put my own spin on it. :-)

YES!!! I am actually looking at studio space right now. The biggest issue is finding a space that I fall in love with the look and functionality of while remaining in a location that feels safe and secure for my clients. Anyone know of a good space up for lease? ;-)

That is a hard one. I would love to live in New York (only for a little bit) or California but since this is a fictional no holds barred kind of question, I will go with something a little more fun like...Africa? It would be such a great experience for the whole family to see how other people live, see the land, learn new customs, see the animals...so fun!

I have shot urban sessions in lots of different places but my favorite is probably the Short North. I have a little path that I usually take when I am shooting down there which makes it nice because I know what to expect. On the flip side, I once did an urban shoot in "old Dublin" which was a lot of fun because I had never been there so it was kind of a 'thrill of the hunt' kind of experience.

Most of the stuff that you see in the maternity shots in my galleries if just creative draping of fabrics and wraps that I bring along with me. I always keep my eyes pealed for fabulous finds on clearance racks at various stores as well. You never know what will work!

Some of the clothing used in my photographs is provided by my clients, others I provide myself. Most of the hats and wraps used for babies were knitted specifically for me. You can find lots of great stuff on Etsy.com, though!

My last several newborn sessions (including precious little "Baby J") have been done in studio using my props, wraps and things. I provide a variety of blankets, knits, wraps, etc to keep each session looking unique. I always encourage parents to bring along anything else that they may want to include in the session as well. :-)

I am addicted to Facebook, Twitter, and my Blackberry.
I can't stand reality television.
I love to shop at thrift stores.

I would probably be a hairstylist and open a high end salon. If you have met me...you know that I love changing up my look and very rarely stick with one color and style for very long. :-)

I am a Nikon girl. I am shooting with a Nikon D200 with an assortment of lenses. My favorites lenses are my 16-85mm VR, my 85mm 1.8, and my 70-200mm. I also have a Lensbaby which is fun but I must say, I haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet. I have a Promaster external flash that I use on location when extra light is needed. In the studio, I have two Alien Bees stobes with softboxes. I do all my editing in Lightroom and CS3. I carry my stuff in a Shootsack usually. :-)

That is a hard one because I love lots of different ages for different reasons. My favorites are newborns (under 10 days old), 6 months, and high school seniors.
Newborns are just so sweet and innocent. I love to just watch them sleep and be able to mold them into the positions that I love. I love to capture those first moments between mom/baby and dad/baby, as well.
6 month olds are just fun to play with! They have usually filled out a bit and now have those adorable little baby rolls. They are pushing up and smiling...learning to sit on their own...maybe thinking about crawling. I love making faces and silly sounds to see their faces light up with those toothless smiles.
High School Seniors give me a totally different challenge. Seniors don't run away from me...they don't cry...they listen to direction (usually). Shooting with seniors allows me to be artistic and play with lighting, environments, styling. My senior shoots are shot much like a fashion spread which is something I love! -
Absolutely, hands-down...Gwen, Gavin, Kingston, and Zuma! I have been obsessed with Gwen Stefani since, oh, 1996! Gwen has the best style and has passed that on to her children. They would be such a fun family to photograph and we would get some amazing shots, for sure. Besides...then we could become best friends and I could live happily ever after! :-)

This past summer, we had a big "EVC: Renew Pickerington Festival" at our church. We got together a bunch of different businesses in the area to offer their services to those in need in our surrounding areas. I set up a photo tent and offered free family portraits to those at the festival. I didn't expect many people to actually show up for photos...boy was I wrong! I was shooting constantly for the whole 4 hours. I photographed over 50 families that day. I had so many families thanking me for my generosity. I had several moms in tears saying that they "have never had a family photo taken before" because they couldn't afford even a Wal-mart studio session. After the festival, the families received a complimentary 5x7 print. It was so rewarding to know that I was giving these families a portrait that they would treasure for years to come.

My go to lens is my 16-85mm. I would say it is one my camera 90% of the time. It allows enough flexibility in shots while still keeping me close enough to my clients to interact with them the way I like to. I love using my 85mm 1.8 when I have enough space and an old enough client to allow me to move around constantly and still get all those perfect shots.

Well...being a woman, I prefer boyshorts for myself. And on my hubby...I like boxer-briefs. Yes, I am an indecisive person. :-)

I shoot people. I love babies and kids of just about any age. Just don't ask me to shoot a wedding. I won't do it. :-)
