Faz muito tempo que eu não entrei aqui no Formspring, mas gostaria de falar muito obrigada pelo seu recado que me deu tantas felicidades na sabedoria que tem alguem que está me torcendo e que é realmente animado para mim!

Cada dia do meu intercâmbio é uma bênção significando que através a sua própria determinação e boa vontade, tudo é possível. Há uns três anos que eu quiz vir para cá e seriamente foi uma luta por causa do pouco conhecimento e medo dos meus pais. Mas lentamente, eu consegui a convencer-los e eles me deixaram iniciar a maior adventura que eu já tive em minha vida.

Claro que o meu intercâmbio não será a unica experiênca incrível que eu vou ter, mas eu estou sentindo que aqui foi o lugar onde minda vida verdadeira vida começou e onde eu cresci para ser uma pessoa melhor. Nada é mais desafiante ou gratificante como o intercâmbio. Tenho muito orgulho das coisas que eu fiz, amor para as pessoas maravilhosas que marcou minha vida e estou cheia com esperança para construir um novo mundo e motivação para aproveitar a vida e as suas oportunidades.

Com certeza, eu pretendo de trazer minhas experiências e compreensões para alerta o povo australiano na beleza que o Brasil tem em termos naturais, culturais e sociais. Segundo, quero inspirar outros jovens com a mesma visão pelo mundo a participar no programa e continuar o legado fantástico que é intercâmbio.

Mas, em fin: eu não estou só divertindo. Estou desenvolendo, crescendo, aproveitando e estou apaixonada pelo seu país!

Oh my god Pauloooooo! I'm yet to skype with you - the last time we talked was when I was in Curitiba and I wasted $10BRL on a 6 minute call, but it was worth every centavo talking with you :) I adore you, miss you and am thinking of you!

I'm not so sure when I'll come back, but I'll make sure I get there before the end of the year. My favourite place is definitely the Amazon :P

Favourite cities:
* Manaus: I didn't see so much of it, but it's a place that I could spend months exploring. It's got this eclectic rhythm that I loved, which complimented the hot weather, its gorgeous riverside location and the fantastic people.

* São Fransisco do Sul: Good memories of a beautiful bayside restaurant, a breezy summer, a new Brazilian bikini, caipirinhas and sticking my head outside of the car on the coastal highway and grinning at the world.

* Curitiba: A marvellous, cosmopolitan city which spells sophistication and class, Curitiba has style, culture, an alligator in Barigui Park and Paulo! :D

I'm not sure how I feel! I'll be going to the Amazon on the same day as my birthday, which I'm extremely excited about. On the other hand, my 18th birthday feels long overdue as I don't feel like a child anymore. However, it does make me feel super nostalgic and unwilling to say goodbye to my childhood so soon, but I'm glad it's not the end of my youth.

I went through a stage during my exams last year that I found Opeth perfect to study to, but here in Brasil where everyday is such a dream, I find it such morbid music to listen to. I like some of their acoustic tracks just about I'm about to go to sleep, though I still like them!

I'll probably start wearing make-up every day when I'm in my mid-30s and start to look drastically old and unslightly without it, but for now, I think I'm ok!

I'm kidding - about everything that Valentine's Day is and forever will be. I think this day should be obselete! There shouldn't be a specified day of which you show your love, and the only people that tend to indulge ritualitistically in Valentine's Day tend to be women with no self-esteem or men in unsatisfying relationships, who eagerly await once-a-year-rose-and-expensive-restaurant-of-which-you-couldn't-read-the-menu-because-you-can't-speak-French motivated sex.

I would immediately drop any person who chose to exhibit their great, overbearing love for me on Valentine's Day.

Probably, because I'm in Brazil at the moment! It's a week into my year-long Rotary Youth Exchange and I'm loving it here so, so much :)

People are free to do what they like, whether or not their decisions are informed.

Whilst I would most definitely prefer the former situation in which people arrive at such conclusions regarding their sexual health with much consideration, it is a sad fact that many people still fail to undertake simple protocol such as wearing condoms, getting prescribed the Pill or getting regularly tested for STIs.

The fact that people do not maturely consider health issues in relation to sex is more of a concern to me than people engaging in sex before marriage, which, to me, shouldn't even be an issue at all.

Never will I judge anyone in respect to their views on the meaning of sex, just as I would expect that courtesy to be reciprocated. I personally don't feel inclined to engage in pre-marital sex at this current point in time. As circumstances change, so too will my opinions. However, my values won't; those being respect, dignity, love and trust. I expect all four of these ideals to be present in any sexual interactions of my own.

One word: Brazil.
