i've never had such a lecturer before. but it sounds disturbing. maybe you can provoke him/her into a discussion on why does he/she think religion and heaven arent verified. hear his/her views. then try to engage him/her into a discussion on existence. things that can't be seen might not exist, people like him/her would say. then give him/her the simplest example..the human brain. if he/she had never seen his/her brain..it's possible that it doesn't exist, right?
