To be honest I just wanted a trim. It was my intention to still have long hair when it was done, but there was a miscommunication with my friend who did the cutting.

Hahaha. That's what I thought after I first looked at the cut. It's weird though because most people tell me that I look older with shorter hair.

Honestly, I don't know. Advice is difficult to give, and even harder to take. Looking back, I can't really pin point any conversations where someone gave me life-altering guidance--actually, I can't recall any advice I've ever been given. I read a lot and I think that's how I did a lot of learning, as well as making lots of mistakes personally. I do what I want, and that makes me really happy. I'm a selfish person, but not in a malicious way. Before, I looked out for others, and invested a lot in people, but now I worry about what's best for me. I don't want to follow a specific track that someone else has already set down before me.

To sum it up I'll refer you to a quote from one of my favorite writers who was also an individualist, Ralph Waldo Emerson. He said, "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." I don't think I've ever read a truer statement.

Well, I don't know who you are, so maybe I miss that too, but maybe not. I hate to be callous, but, at least in my life, people come and people go. It's just something that happens.

Hey, thanks! I can't wait to go back home. I leave here Sunday morning. The best part about traveling to the west is the time difference. I'll leave Boston and make it to Jackson by noon. I start work Monday, which will be kinda nice.

Probably my older brother Jeff. He's my best friend and we have very similar, witty senses of humor. Once we get going, it's rather entertaining.

Occasionally, but I don't really enjoy it. The way I'm living right now is just that--right now. I think it was Albert Einstein who said something like, "I never think of the future because it comes soon enough."

I'm trying to live more responsibly and start saving money for the future, but I'm simply having too much fun to be worried about it. In five years I'll be twenty-seven, and I really just hope that I'll be as happy then as I am now.

Yeah, I know you're right. When I got it cut I wasn't planning on going this short. It was kind of shocking since I haven't looked like this in a long time, and I almost feel like I'm not this person anymore. It is what it is, and I'll get used to it.

Someone super important to me, and we have history. And probably not really because I don't tell her. I don't make her believe it anyway.

I used to be a romantic. I lost whatever it is that romantics possess and now I'd call myself more cynical than romantic.

Thanks! That's a great picture! Every April Fools Day we do silly things like that. This year it happened to be snowing, so there weren't as many half-naked skiers, but it was still awesome...even though I lost my sunglasses.
