My best response would be that I'm a stubborn mule, and when I set my mind to something I WILL achieve it, no matter the cost. But in all truth, don't admire me for it. I wouldn't wish my eating habits on anyone.
To start, I recommend keeping a food journal. Once you see what you're actually consuming during the day I can guarantee that you'll eat half of it. I used to gorge on things like penne pasta covered in marinara sauce and melted cheddar cheese, or DQ chicken finger baskets complete with their deep fried toast and onion rings, plus a banana marshmallow milkshake. Once you start seeing things like that on paper, you're likely to never eat it again.
Consume roughly 1400 calories a day if you're a chick, 1200 at the VERY minimum for weight loss. I count every last crumb, which I would definitely not recommend, but a rough estimate will do. Don't make up your calories on junk. Eat clean. Lots of veggies, a bit of fruit (lots of sugar, albeit natural), whole grains and protein, protein, protein. I'm a vegetarian (embarking on a vegan diet) and still manage, so there's no excuse. Even just changing your diet will make you feel a million times better. I very rarely (once or twice a month if I'm feeling a little crazy) indulge in things like sweets. Make the transition slowly. I recommend a short detox to rid your body of things like refined sugars.
Exercise, exercise, exercise! In Calgary I was going to the gym every day doing an hour of cardio and strength training three times a week. Now that I'm in Victoria and don't have a gym I've been making due with videos like Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, have taken up pilates, walk everywhere and run a couple times a week. Do what works for you, even if it's just small things like starting with jumping jacks and jump rope. Use water bottles as light weights.
All in all, do what works for you. Be healthy, stay safe. -
I do a lot of baking. Really unhealthy baking. I very rarely have more than just a little nibble of anything that I make, and instead bring it to work or give it to my friends and family. I've watched some people scarf down like five cookies or a couple slices of cake in a single sitting without even thinking twice about it, and it's both comforting and disgusting to me. Comforting because hey I made it and they're enjoying it enough for the both of us. Disgusting because I know exactly what's in it and am silently calculating the calorie and fat content. People are crazy. Or wait, would that be me?

Find my way without help. I HATE asking for help. It's especially bad when it comes to finding things at department stores. I will not ask for help and will wander around aimlessly until I find what I need, or leave. It always drives whoever I'm with nuts.

I've made amends with a few people who I had long time rivalries with. I think those were simply a matter of 'time heals all.'
The other friendships that I've lost are ones that I regretted for a good portion of last year. At this point though, I've come to terms with them, have no regrets and would not want a second chance. -
lately, 2 egg whites with salsa for breakfast, an apple or celery with hummus for lunch and a small helping of some sort of rice/bean dish for dinner. or soup. or salad.

because at some point early last year i lost my damn mind and i was more of a drunken liability than anything else. physically i could hold my liquor, but mentally i could not.
this coming from the girl who is halfway through a bottle of wine. i think i'm getting better though. it all really depends on the crowd.
oh, but the hangovers. those are killer. i get the worst hangovers in the world NO MATTER what i do to try to prevent them. -
I don't drink anymore!

Option A, although marriage and children are two things that I'm not sure if I even want in the first place. If it were to come down to it though, adoption is always an option. I've always found that there is something somewhat selfish about having children when there are so many out there already who need homes.
