yeah I know that feel, like shit gets better over time but if you were truly wronged it'll always linger. Like I believe time heals most things but some shit will always piss you off regardless of how long unless you get some sort of resolution

How do I do that other than saying.

Life was good, until mid way through high school, then things just started being shitty.
You never really get over some things... not a lot of people knows what it feels like to be angry... in your bones. I mean they understand, everybody understands. For a while. Then they want the angry kid to do something he knows he can't do, move on. So after awhile they stop understanding.

That's not even a proper answer, just know that shit happened in high school and I'll always be mad about it.

      UHH UHHHH CURRENTLY IT'S:

"Not a lot of people know what it feels like to be angry, in your bones. I mean, they understand, foster parents, everybody understands, for awhile. Then they want the angry little kid to do something he knows he can't do, move on. So after awhile they stop understanding. They send the angry kid to a boys home. I figured it out too late. You gotta learn to hide the anger, practice smiling in the mirror. It's like putting on a mask."

it through a 3 hour movie without getting bored. ridley scott had great movies all shortened due to "audience" appeal but i digress i suppose... promo was okay for me at least

      --------------------------------

The thing is, Ridley Scott is a "well respected" and veteran director. Considering he's actually made great, long films in the past makes the shortened length seem like less of a studio decision and more like Scotts decision. I know Blade Runner was cut short, but that was much earlier in his career and the success of that film, Alien and Gladiator (which is around a half hour longer than Prometheus) should be enough for film execs to actually let him make his film without interference. Prometheus was supposed to be a triumphant return to the sci-fi genre and Alien series for Scott and you would think the producers would have given Scott most of the control.

We might live in a 45 second generation but (I have to bring this up) The Dark Knight Rises came out the same year and managed to be around 45 minutes longer, and still made more money than Prometheus. You could argue well that's because of the success of TDK, but that was also half an hour longer. The Avengers also came out that year and again, was also longer, and had many boring moments. We give the audience too little credit. They want to watch smart films, they want to watch entertaining films, even if it is 3 hours long. Avatar though... incredibly simple, was visually fascinating, and that was nearly 3 hours long, compared to the just over 2 hour run time of Prometheus, I think it's evident people will sit through long films.

It seems Scott has two kinds of films: Great ones, like Blade Runner or Gladiator... and... ones I despise him for, like Prometheus and Robin Hood (shudder).

If it were a time constraint... I would have been happy if they replaced some of the early landscape shots, the side story of David and his dream reading of Shaws (the main character) dreams, the weird zombie dude scene, the alien head scene... in favour of finding out why the "Engineers" are running from... nothing(?) into the room of black goo, why the engineer goes on a killing spree at the end, what the hell David says to the engineer... those are the couple of things that were not explained... at all.

ALL IN ALL, I hope you see my problems with the film, I just can't see it as anything but a poor attempt at a B sci fi movie.
1/5 almost as bad as The Hunger Games.
