That quote was a response to me when I told her, "Was it really necessary to say the discriminatory N word??" When she said she would "Beat a N**** up" as a joke. How would you respond to this?
(part 2 of 2) My personal response would be to message her angrily telling her that she has no right to define a word that has been used to oppress a group of people for hundreds of years. It doesn't matter what she MEANT by it, she ignored the REALITY of the word, and she should be apologising for using a word she has no right to claim definition of, and making a note to never use it again. Her 'apology' is bullshit and she needs to sort herself out.
Also: What the fuck? 'Beat a N****' up? That isn't reminiscent of actual white people actually beating up black people because of their race at all, is it? Fuck's sake... I despair.
