My mom used to leave me with her co-worker who lived in East L.A. and I still have visions of her home. I was a toddler and for some reason those images still exist in my memory bank.

Meeting a woman who opened a gift shop dedicated to promoting local American artist and fair trade imports. I like that she is promoting "conscious shopping" as she put it. It made me think about what I invest my money into.

I'm learning to forgive more. I don't like holding grudges but I fear getting hurt and betrayed so much that I would end up holding grudges. I'm really trying to completely let go and trust God.

Yes I do! But only with people I absolutely trust and am interested in. It's kind of weird to have a standard for affection but if I feel distant with people I feel awkward holding their hands. But with the children I work with - I don't care- because I'm taking care of them and plus most children are very affectionate.
