I own a D700 and I LOVE IT! I want a D3 really bad. But if not able to afford either of those. I recommend the D90 or the new D7000 heard great things about them. And they give great results.

One she is in the wrong for going off on you for no reason. But you need to forgive her. And you need to confront him and say you would love to speak with her and him at the same time to resolve this issue. You cant live with someone who has someone in their life that dislikes you. And find out the real reason on why she blew up on you.
