I don't have a heart. I'm medical miracle <facetiousness/smirk>
I am VERY skeptical of emotional appeals.
"Why aren't you appealing to me rationally? Why aren't you arguing facts?"
I spent my younger days (and perhaps too many days sense) do the bidding of peoples' guilty consciences. I have all kinds of empathy, I may even feel bad for you, but I don't "invite you in" unless you prove something to be besides I'm empathetic/susceptible to guilty. I already know that. Emotional appeals are very weak and cheap tactic, I resent them without reason to back them up.
(unless they involve dogs?) maybe I resent them more if they involve dogs?
I don't share them typically, even so I doubt I would ever state it like THAT.
If I were to share something that said like that I'd qualify it, that I don't think "you don't have a heart" but the charity is good and merits your time/money/attention if you could spare them.
