There is a private board that I'm a part of, but mostly I'm addicted to my google reader...

Finding balance. It's very easy to let your business consume your life. It's taken me some time to learn that I can't do it all, and it's ok to say 'no.'

My 1st DSLR was a Nikon D80. I don't think that's considered a pro camera. I sold it for my Canon 5d. I didn't go to school for photography, though I wish I had realized how much I love photography back in my school days.

I do. It's actually more of a $ amount in savings. But it is dependent on when the hubs goes back to work, as he's been out since Oct.

the 16-35L. I love the wide angle look for dogs. Makes me giggle. :)

I started taking photos of my own dog. People started asking me to take photos of theirs. Score! ;)

Very little of my time is spent actually shooting, in comparison to other business-related things. I spend much more time culling, editing, backing up images, blogging, emailing, ordering, packaging, bookkeeping, etc. I work a day gig that's an hour away so that takes up much of my weekdays. And sometimes I get to spend some quality time with my husband & pups... :)

My parents were married in April. But I think they just liked the name.

My TV. No question. You can watch TV online so it's the best of both worlds.

My very favorite was taken from above with a wide-angle lens b/c the distortion cracks me up. But the majority of my faves are probably ones taken down at the dog's level.

I'd love to be able to bring my dogs to work! :)

Florence, Italy. Not b/c of the place, but b/c we went w/ a tour & they put us up in a bug-ridden hotel out in the suburbs w/ nothing around. And it rained the whole time we were there...

Not all behave so perfectly. :) And that's ok. I want to capture them as they are so I work w/ what they give me. Some yummy treats usually help get the attention of even the unruly ones...

I once had a 16hr layover... sleeping on the floor in Madrid's airport is no fun...

I asked my husband to answer this for me and he said "Cooking."
He's sweet like that... -
Talk about your business. A lot. It's hard for me to do, but no one else is going to do it for you. And treat your clients well so they talk about you & you don't have to talk about yourself so much. :)

Together? I haven't. I'd imagine that it'd be quite challenging though...

I use WHCC. I always recommend that my clients use www.mpix.com
